Not yet no. I think I should hear something by the end of the week. They were doing more interviews this week, but not sure when. Have kinda resigned myself to not getting it, have gone over it and I think I could have done A LOT better. Wait and see.

    xx

    Hello everyone,

Sorry for not posting yesterday, we had a busy day looking at what I think I will use as a bridesmaid dress & wedding rings! Is anyone more knowledgable than me able to advise on something? I think we should go for platinum as it is stronger & should not need to be "re-dipped" in the future, but is it really worth the extra money? I'd go for white gold otherwise, OH probaby titanium or something a bit tougher than gold.

Pixie - Thanks for starting us off, I treated myself to something yesterday too, just the one fortunately!
OrangeFairy - Good luck with the diet
NTBY - You go & have fun :D We were up until 5am but just the 1 night fortunately, I must be getting old as I still feel a little tired from it! To be honest I feel a little sorry for crazy ex now...she has sent both me & OH messages over FB to apologise & she seems a little messed up in some ways...she thinks she's grown up so much having finished uni now but I think she needs to respect herself a little more & start looking after herself better, she seems a little lost really. Still not sure what exactly she wants from OH, whether she genuinely just wants to be friends, or realises just what she's lost, but I'm not too worried about it just yet.
Compliments - Hope you're feeling a bit better now & the interview goes well
Upanddown - Haven't taken a look at your thread yet but don't despair, you have come to the right place!

Hi everyone and welcome to newbies. :)
Iv'e been at my second job (24h live in care) since 10 last night and am here till 6 tonight. The person doing tonights shift has called in sick so i`ve got extra hours! :j. Back in at 10 tonight till 10 in the morning. It all helps at the moment, especially as the hours at my first job are still crap this week coming.
    So todays list is:
Brought meals to work from home (HM chicken curry for lunch, yum)
    Tea from home later.
Have checked Onepoll, only one 5p so far but will check again later.
NSD, maybe. (taking my client for a look around shops later and I need some summer tops so i`ll see if I find any I like and are cheap!)
    Walk pooches.
Washing machine on as soon as I get in and out on airer as forcast rain tomorrow.
Pack up Ebay parcel ready to post tomorrow.
    Quick shower.
Feed pooches, grab some breakfast for tomorrow and back to work.

    Have a good afternoon everyone.

    Afternoon all,

Have had a busy busy weekend so been a bit MIA, although reading through the thread I don't think I am the only one. I also treated myself on Saturday - new jodhpurs and riding gloves in tesco (£15) and M&S dinner for me & OH (£20, ouch :o). Hope everyone has had a good weekend and enjoyed the sun. It's clouded in a bit here on the coast, think that may have been the summer. ;)

    My list for today

Check bank and update spreadsheet DONE
Ring NW for up to date credit balance Payment finally taken - now £42 in credit
    PAD to overdraft DONE
    NSD
    Breakfast at home DONE
Free lunch and fruit from work DONE
    Dinner at parents
    Walk for free exercise
    Work hard and stay positive

Worked out today I have £175 for food, petrol and general spending to last me to payday (on 26th) seems like it's going to be a bit tight. Have got 2 nights out planned and there are 3 weekends between now and then. Really need to not spend anything more than what is essential. Going to start by walking to work tomorrow, I have just under 1/4 of a tank of fuel left and I want to make it last till Friday.

Hope everyone is having a good monday xx
    Debts at Highest £18600
    Overdraft £550/£900
    Egg Loan currently £6253
Credit cards - GONE AGAIN as of 26/07/11
    THIS TIME IT'S FOR REAL!
    Aiming for DFD 26/01/2012

I went for white gold, seems fine after nearly a year. Though I was told at the jewellers who made my wedding ring you should try and match with the engagement ring as some metals are tougher than others. But this only matters if you will continue to wear your engagement ring (I did/do). My DH has a palladium ring. I would say there are a few scratches on his. Though it is brushed, not sure if that makes a difference.

    Hope this helps?

I actually seem to be achieving most of my list for today,

two boxes of recyclables cleared out - done!
walk from work into local high street at lunch to visit library and bank, and exercise (15 mins each way) - done!
return library books due today so I don't incur charges - done!
deposit money from friend in bank (only £21.50 but see next...) - done!
avoid spending money in purse on tempting goodies in Birds (bakery in the Midlands - their lemon curd tartlets are divine!) - done!
lunch from hoe not crap sandwich trolley - done!
Check if money has gone onto pre-paid mastercard - checked but not on there, will have to wait til Tues or Weds to go to supermarket

I feel all virtuous now! I still need to:

Pack up bed linen to be dropped at launderette in morning (i know it's not very money saving, but I don't have a washing line, or a garden or yard to put one in, other clothes go on clothes horses)
Put another load of washing in
Concoct something delicious for dinner from whatever is in cupboards- possibly a fritatta?
Make tomorrow's lunch from other remnants in fridge - vegetable rice salad?
Find out how to cancel membership for a discounts card I hardly use
Write shopping list for supermarket visit, and meal plan.

    - Phone tax credits to renew and change circumstances - It seems like I am just not meant to get ahold of them. My landline is supposed to be changed over from the post office to sky today, but somehow lines have been crossed and I have someone else's number (only found out when a guy tried calling his house and got ours instead) and I don't want to phone an 0845 number on his number in case he gets charged instead of me

    Call them on 028 9053 8192 instead.
