I reckon few of us will actually benefit much from this item. A quick glance out of the window tells you the weather.

Its just a gadget and I wouldn't go out of my way to get one but if there was one on display for £1.99 - well, I guess I'd buy one but I do question the suggested RRP, though. I reckon £5 is about the right money.

I wonder how many of these will still be working/on display this time next year?
Incidentally, this idiot seems to think
    that they were originally £80.00

Quick glance tells you the temperature inside and outside as well the pressure as well as the time and alarm clock? For £1.99, these are an absolute steal.

I grew up with an old traditional barometer on the wall in my childhood home and learned that the weather pressure was a far more predictable way to see what the weather would be rather than glancing out of the window to see what it was at the current time.

I bought a weather station from Lidl when they were on offer for £9.99 and it's done me through until the last month or so when the display became distorted. I've got the sensor near to my greenhouse so I can be alerted to any drop or rise in temp which may warrant extra heating or ventilation for the plants. It is extremely effective and accurate too so I for one, fully expect to have my £1.99 Comet bargain in use this year, next and for the future.

PS Have ordered some for presents too!

  • I think Commet have a price drop policy whereby if you find the same product at a cheaper price ( Including Commet themselves) within (14 ? ) days of purchase you can go back with the receipt and get the product at the reduced price .

Does any one know what the final price of the ones that were priced at £19.99 was?

  • I just tried to order this with a couple of other items and I got an immediate phone call to say they were out of stock.Probably been innundated with MSE er's buying it.

They said they would be getting some more in,but whether they will be at £1.99 remains to be seen.

Thats just this one...there was a white one also, for £19.99 which I wanted as it has the weather girl and graphs etc...anyone with a link?

Also, if anyone manages to actually physically go to a store and get one and they honour this price of £1.99, please post!

If you can get it for £1.99 + £5.95 P&P, £7.94 is still a good price including delivery as you haven't got a store nearby!
