NEXT VIP sale summer 2011

in previous years i would say i have returned over 50% of my order, but prob just below the 2/3s criteria
this time there were 45 items in my order - based on that, i have to keep at least 15 items to still qualify for a VIP slot - however, i have returned all bar 6 items - the quality of Next has become shocking, not just the poor fabrics, but the sizing is all over the place
another qualifying criteria is, you must have made a purchase from the directory within the last year - i only ever buy in the sale, so they must still class that as a directory purchase
will have to wait and see if i am excluded from the VIP sale next time

I have to say I always kept all the terms you need to get VIP invite and never got one (and I spend LOTS of money with Next. My friends abroad ask me to bring them items for their kids) and after Christmas I canceled catalogue (as it is massive and I regret the cost of it) and I got VIP invite this time, though I shouldn't!!

Just going to store to return 18 items, ha ha!
Traybro knows you to dislike you huh? Me thinks you need to get a grip. I don't know you... font on a screen. Neither like you or dislike you..
As for the items you are returning? I couldn't care less what you are doing.
I said in my intial post that I don't think it is fair the buyers who purchase purely to resell items on and make a profit from it.
I also said I felt sorry for the returns department.
Nothing to do with sour grapes or how many items people are returning.
Bah!0 -

I hadn't ordered from the spring summer book but I did still get a late invite (got it on Thursday). I have ordered and I hope I maybe get considered for the xmas one now too
If not will just get up early again like I did on Sat. Was there for 4.55am at my local store with the other bargain hunters.

If Im honest the kids clothes I picked up in the store were better than what i have had so far in VIP first slot which is why I always go to store to see what else there is.
Cant wait to get home to see what else has arrived!!:j0 -

Oh im pmsl here, how funny.Feeling sorry for the returns department indeed, it is the job they do and do well. Your coming on a bit strong for someone who couldnt care less, calm down dear its only a sale.
Its got nothing to do with you why people buy their items, I sell a lot of mine on ebay if I dont like them.I dont buy them with the intention of selling on ebay because that is not allowed unless you are a business seller is it, so I buy for me and my family but I know some things are unlikely to suit us and sometimes they go on ebay, so what of it.
Fair, Fair? your talking about a sale for gods sake, why get so worked up?0 -
I must admit I don't get the excitement about the Next sale. I like their homewares but the clothes don't seem that good quality these days. Certainly when I have bought kids clothes there in the last couple of years they haven't lasted long and have soon lost their shape, come apart at the seams and so on. Unlike say, Debenhams John Rocha kids clothes where they are as good as new even after a couple of years.
We have had some furniture bargains from Next but the clothes always seem quite roughly made to me now. The shops look like jumble sales when the Sale is on and, as with all shops, I am sure they buy a lot of stock in just to put 'clearance' on it. Good to see some people getting bargains they are happy with though.0 -
I bought 2 items last week at full price in store which have gone into the sale, could I return them and buy them back at the sale price do you think? I suppose it's only the same as me returning them and then someone else buying them?0
