Most savvy shoppers are aware of what time the big uploads are...always around 3.09am, then another big update around 9am ish.
Don't automatically assume the item is out of stock...hope this makes sense...look at the last update time on the bottom of the page and see how long ago it was...if it's in the last 5-10 mins and your size is still showing (but sold out in basket), chances are someone has it in their basket but hasn't checked out...keep the item in and keep refreshing your basket page. I got a jacket I wanted this am by doing just this when it had come up sold out initially in my basket.

Was going to pop in after work, first chance I have had to go and look....love the tencel bits but probably all gone by now....

in previous years i would say i have returned over 50% of my order, but prob just below the 2/3s criteria

this time there were 45 items in my order - based on that, i have to keep at least 15 items to still qualify for a VIP slot - however, i have returned all bar 6 items - the quality of Next has become shocking, not just the poor fabrics, but the sizing is all over the place

another qualifying criteria is, you must have made a purchase from the directory within the last year - i only ever buy in the sale, so they must still class that as a directory purchase

will have to wait and see if i am excluded from the VIP sale next time

I think it's a case of being added to your bag at just the right time!!! i'v been after a guilt cover since sale started, have put orders through for all the cushions, pillow cases ect as they've appeared in stock at different times in the hope that i'd eventually get the cover, lo and behold managed to get it about 15mins ago:T have had site on almost constantly for three day's and keep checking, patience is a vertue as my deeply missed, lovley dad would have said.

I just got a top for my ds this way. Been checking and refreshing since I posted and bang got it (well maybe, lets see if it gets delivered in the 5 weeks it says!)

Traybo wouldnt like me, I have had a vip slot, usually at 6pm first day for the last five years.I had 18 bags of stuff delivered yesterday and 6 more today.I buy hundreds of items and sometimes 5 of the same if I want it for christmas/birthday presents.I could pay for what I order but a lot of it does go back, you cant always tell what an item is like just by looking on a computer screen.
Once Ive registered my slot I take friends lists of what they want and order for them too so they have a better chance of getting their items.I take loads and loads back to store and I dont care its my perogative, they have a returns service and I use it.
If I didnt get a vip slot I wouldnt be bothered, and wouldnt be ringing up threatening to cancel my account, why have an account in the first place? The rules for the vip invites are clearly explained and you know you may not get one.Its great when you do though.
Isnt it funny when people dont get a slot, they suddenly think the quality of the clothes is poor, the customer service is rubbish, so why did they want a slot in the first place?
Grow up and get over your sour grapes.
Just going to store to return 18 items, ha ha!
