Did you have any luck with your bedroom furniture Lorraine? I ordered some last year and they really wouldn't budge on the price of the item or the delivery as they say it is a sale price and they have reduced a lot already but like you said, it is worth trying.
Last year nearer the end of Jan they had further reductions but not sure if it is worth waiting incase they stop the sales and the price goes back up again what with mfi pulling out or changing the tesco offer.0 -
I'm going to go buy my range cooker this week now my vouchers have arrived.
ic100 what type did you get, I haven't seen a smeg one cheaper anywhere, hence why i'm getting this one from mfi. just wondering if i need to spend longer searching the net!0 -

Also does anyone know if you can collect from the store instead of paying the delivery charge??

Hi Marge,
I got a Stoves 100cm Black Dual Fuel Range Oven - Richmond. I used price runner and kelkoo to find the cheapest price, have you looked on either of these sites for your range?0 -
thanks ic100 ... I'll check those sites out now :beer:0

Don't spend too long searching. I read on another thread that MFI are pulling out of tesco deals (in April, I think) so make sure you use the vouchers before then. When I bought my smeg range cooker in October, I searched the net but MFI were cheaper than anyone else - the assistant told me that they rarely put appliances in the general sale as they offer such competitive prices. I told her I was using Tesco vouchers and she said it was fine, that I could just use them like cash. My vouchers only covered the cost of the extractor, but I paid the balance with my Tesco credit card, so I'll be going back for something else in February.0 -
thanks myrnahaz, yes I am definitely going to get it from mfi, as you say they are cheapest in first place (well from the searches I've done anyhow), then have taken something off for the sale - not sure its as much as 20%, but not to be sniffed at - and I have approx £250 in vouchers so I'm pretty happy about it really :-)0

I ordered a bed on 27th dec and paid the whole lot in vouchers (£588 plus £12 delivery) and the max vouchers you could use was 15 so it was fine. Actually waiting for the bed to be delivered right now. Let's hope they get here today.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

The maximum number of vouchers that you can pay with in one day is 15, but you can pay this in instalments and pay with another 15 vouchers on another day. The only reason it states 15 vouchers is that is the maximum number that their computer will take at any one time.0

I ordered my bathroom suite on the 27/12/06, he asked me my budget & I said I had £450 Tesco vouchers so probably could only get the sink & toilet all in one now. Then come back for the bath in Feb when I get my £260+. Got the whole lot at sale price £680.00, just paid £73.00 deposit. Going in Feb to pay off & arrange delivery.
Cut this story short:
1) Tesco vouchers are great we love them, as good as money. (Salesman said)
2) Do not set a delivery date & you will not be bound to pay anything if you wish to cancel, deposit refunded. Then reorder if prices drop.
3) Order at prices today & pay the rest off in Feb when we get our mailings. (I've done really well this quatre but spent a bit too)
4) MFI may not be pulling out just renegotiating i.e 2x or 3x value rather than 4x. The MFI guy said keep collecting those points. Have mentioned this on other thread.
Hope you can understand this, just be honest with the salesman, skint, on a budget, paying with Tesco deals, getting more in Feb, can we sort something out today at these prices.
