Has anyone got any info as to what will happen on the third? I don't remember mfi giving such a definite end date to a sale, and I know that they normally extend it.
I want appliances for my new kitchen, and I have a load of clubcard vouchers. Can't decide whether to just order or wait a couple more weeks. It is rare when they reduce the appliances. (the appliances are now the normal price I can get off the net)
Any advice? I've been trying to make my mind up for a week!Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

they will extend the offer or move to vat free. The Sale goes on until march. Then it stops for a couple of weeks and restarts in the easter.0

I have been monitoring MFI for about 12 months, originally it was for a set of children's bunk beds. In my opinion their 'sales' are completely made up nonsense. They hold the same sale every couple of months, the inflated prices are ludicrous and they must truly believe that different shoppers come along all the time and do not realise their marketing ploy.
It is similar to a majority of products in the woolworths 'half-price' sale. You know all those big stickers that say 'was £17.99 now £8.49' etc. These items were never the before price....The real reductions are the hand marked ones.....Really annoys me....:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin0 -
The sale has worked out good for me....items Ive ordered a lot cheaper than a few months ago.
The salesman had just dealt with a customer who used £600 of Tesco vouchers, spent mine before crimbo now realising this deal£900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x0 -
Well the bogoff sofa's I ordered before Christmas have now actually gone up in the 'sale'. Still waiting for the footstools to come down though later, hopefully around Feb!0

I'm looking for a pretty basic kitchen and i thought i had found the best deal at mfi : 10 units + worktops + sink 'half price plus 20%off' came to £395 (originally £1622) plus £20 delivery if ordered instore (£10 delivery if ordered online/telesales).
However, B&Q have an offer on at the mo where they say they can match and beat any other quote and give extra 10% off (worth a try!) so i have an appointment booked tomorrow to see if that will be the case.
I'm still thinking hat i should go with the mfi deal?
I would be grateful for some opinions,
like i said, all i need is a pretty basic kitchen-nothing fancy....Everything in life is a paradox. The more you want approval, the more you become a person that other people don't want to approve of, the less you care about whether you get approval, the more you get.:A0 -

Thanks
I looked at kitchens in MFI real rip off, quoted me silly price basic units are cheap but start adding the extras and the skys the limit, dont like the new non itemised quote, as salesman seemed to be a bit finger happy with the old custom fit panels.
As I understand it B and Q will price match so take your quote to them and haggle.
Also MFI kitchens can be purchased through Howdens (nationwide company), they come preassembled and you can haggle. Hubby fitted kitchen for client just before christmas, MFI quote £3500 plus not including sink and worktops. Howdens £2000 including sinks and worktops. This was the space cream design.
On my kitchen note we purchased the doors seperatly from B and Q, Spent £800 on doors, now they are half price plus 20% off. Just about to go back to BandQ repurchase at cheap price and then take straight back to C./S with full price receipts, wont get refund as over 28days but will get credit note for approx £500.CUT OFF DATE FOR XMAS 2008 1st NOVPB £17.87, Ipoints 3907, QUIDCO £217.94,SHOP&SCAN 1950, LITESPEED 1265,PINECONE £8,BOOTS £18.62, IPSOS 1190, VALUED OPINIONS £19.25,MISC SURVEYS CLICK THROUGH ACCS ETC £23,0 -

i just ordered mine at local. offer ends tomorro, here's the link
http://www.mfi.co.uk/mfi/content/rim4009package.asp
it's a nice kitchen. the units are hygena rather than schrieber so b&q won't price match it. plus most places have only got the sale on door fronts. by the time you add carcasses, worktops, cornices, plinths, pelmets etc, you can only uimagin what it's gonna cost.
I opted for the package without the sink and taps (which i already have brand new, packaged) and this brought the price down £50 to £345. On top of that i ordered an additional 1000m base unit and 500m door and this worked out to £455 including £20 delivery.
When i went back to order i told the salesperson that i would order everything off the internet or via telesales as they only charge £10 delivery. subsequently, he knocked the delivery price off, and my total order was £435 after discount.
