Are you not using that piece of road when the vehicle is on it?
I thought you were explaining about using the vehicle, not about using the road.

You certainly do not have to be insured to use the road.
    Pedestrians do it every day.

i can't see you using it if you're 200 miles away. you're permitting somebody else to use it. And yes, an offence is to 'use' but what is the definition of 'use'.

Parking it outside your house while you're inside it isn't 'using' it.

Jesus, get your facts right before you post, if a vehicle is kept on the road or in a public place it NEEDS INSURANCE, if you not sure ring the police & ask (but not on 999 number)
ANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.

Ok if it makes you happy, you need insurance to use a motor vehicle on a road.

The bus company doesn't have any options. They are still liable to pay for his damages as they've caused the accident whether he is insured or not. The law is a pain in the behind but... thats how it is i'm afraid.

Very daft BMW owner buying a brand new car and not insuring it though!

you are an absolute clown... i suggest you go back to eating your crayons instead of posting on the internet.

You quoted a post about getting points for having a none insured care on the road. So your reply pointless. Or do you want me to phone the police and ask "if i park a car on the road without insurance, even though i'm not actually driving it... will i get points on my license?"

The minimum for no insurance is £200 and six points.
six points is being caught driving without insurance, not owning a car that isn't insured. Can you actually get points when you're not driving the car?

regardless of what the answer is, it's irrelevant to your whinge.

so your "Jesus, get your facts right before you post, if a vehicle is kept on the road or in a public place it NEEDS INSURANCE, if you not sure ring the police & ask (but not on 999 number)" had nothing to do with what you quoted so toddle off and get your facts right before you post.

I don't need to.. The post he quoted was from the conversation where i asked if you could get points for no insurance when you're not driving a car... So i don't need to get any facts right; whereas he needs to read what he's quoting ;)

My friend is now thinking "how much of a !!!!!!! can I be" and advises the BM's owner of the law and uninsured vehicles. This chap is now in a spot of bother and the bus company are looking at their "options".

I hate to think what the price of a brand new 5 series is and if anyone can take that sort of hit.

Why is your friend thinking how much of an idiot he can be? What a sad little person. He should just get on with his job. Must be awful to be so envious of other people that it warps your thinking.

Having said that, I also think this is a wind-up. How could the bus hit the BMW hard enough to buckle it's wheels but cause no damage to the bus?
Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.
