Thanks for the welcome, I have managed to accrue overdrafts on 5 different current accounts and this is only one left, additionally i had 2 credit cards and 4 different catalogues again i have cleared the balances on 3 of them so 1 catalogue and the 2 credit cards left.
I am just paying the required payment on the last catalogue (littlewoods) as it doesnt accrue interest so saving no money by over paying and it will be cleared in july next year.

Once i have cleared this i can concentrate on the cc's both have been cut up for over a year and i an paying them off now by paying the highest interest one first with some extra and the other one with just 5.00 over the balance so it doesnt show as minimum payment only on my credit report.
I dont really want to cut into the payment on my cards to clear the overdraft but think it may be pulled when they review so am working towards that idea and if they dont then i will.

this sounds like a right mess....If I were you I'd stop paying Littlewoods and concentrate on the OD or the CC's...... whatever has highest interest....

Do the snowball for more advice :)

That way you'll be paying less in the long run :)...Yes you can still make min payments on the snowball. I am on my overdraft and loan till the macbook is cleared....

Hope that helps.....Not having a go. Just concerned...Hugs

    Morning all

Had a great weekend so far - As a member of a lions club (sandwell Lions Club) we took our santa sleigh out for the first time last night and raised just under £400!!! We were mega pleased, especially as money is so tight for people at the moment!

My pad for today is £6.93 - £4.43 to the mortgage and £2.50 to the loan!

    Thanks all

    Have a good day!

    RSDIscos

Och so pleased for you Discos :). How do you join the lions btw? Does it cost much? Is it men only? You are an inspiration with what you do for the lions

I'm hoping to have about 80p to the change jar tomorrow. Have £2 left till Tuesday which is going on milk @ £1.18 (I think?) from Mr. S. (not that much more expensive than the freezer place in all honesty) and then the rest to change jar...

And I made £30 last the week :j

Even didn't take monies out or come home for monies to the xmas do last night at kirk :)

    Getting really frugal :)

it was going to be £204 but that £9 took my mf date down a month, what a difference £ 9 can make:j

    That's great hun! :T

Had a fab afternoon in the Weege yesterday! :D Used the cc once but only because I had bought something and then in another shop I saw it cheaper and didn't have enough cash so paid for it with cc and going to take the other thing back during the week which will cover the cc. (didn't take it back yesterday because we were too far away from the original shop but can take it back here anyway).

    My PAD today £6.30

Enjoy what is left of the weekend everyone :)

    hi
Thanks, I know you are only trying to help, the only reason i am concentrating on the overdraft before the credit cards is that i think Santander may pull it in feb when up for remewal as there is no money going into it other than a payment to clear the o/d. I transfer £500 in to cover the minimum deposit and then take £450 out again leaving the rest to clear the balance of the o/d. I think they are going to pull it as when i tried to reduce the o/d limit it wouldnt let me said the limit i wanted was not available to me.

I am only paying minimum payment for the catalogue but nothing else as it is interest free as i said so no benefit from over paying.

I have cleared 4 o/d and 3 catalogues total debt gone of £17,325.

The credit cards are balance transfers with 5.9 and 6.9 life of balance transfer interest rates and are cut up so no additional spending. So cost so muyh less than the o/d and catalogues di which is why i left them till last.

Hope that explains it a bit better.

Any way went shopping today and saved £4.60 with buy one get one free so have transferred that over to the o/d today :j

  • Only 60p for me today, thats all I had left in my purse until tomorrow. I found the perfect little tin today to collect my daily amounts in. My plan is at the end of each week I will pay a little lump sum (the contents of my little money tin) off my credit card.:)
