Got to go out for milk.... Just to say phoned CCF last night re settlement figure and they said come the end of the month it'll be £98 or something. But I don't know when exactly I'm getting paid due to the holidays so wondering if I pay it by BT on the 28th (bearing in mind it has to be paid by the 29th) risking the £1.60 in interest or pay by card (costs £3).....what do folk reckon. I'm thinking I'd rather pay by card personally then it's done :)...£1.50 is not worth stressing over. And all my other pads have been done by BT which is free :T...

    Hi E,
I hate having to pay extra to pay money, but I think it would be less stressful to pay the £3 rather than to be anxious about them receiving it on time.

Could I join your thread please? It sounds so motivational to put something aside each day off a debt. It must really help to see it go down.

For the last few months I have been doing the NSD challenge but I'm not sure how this would work with a payment a day?

I have a credit card I would like to work on. The balance was £920.03 but after yestersays direct debit payment of £23 its now £897.03.

Iwill put £5 away in a pot today, and I will add whatever I can manage each day. Each week I will pay the money I have collected as extra payments to the card. I won't count the regular £23 monthly direct debit payment, as that will cover the interest. Is that Okay?

    Frodo.

Hi Froddo - welcome! The beauty of this thread is that you can do it any way you want :D I don't post a PaD every day, but i'm quietly putting money away, so certainly THINK about it every day :p I will mainly post in lump sums with a few odd bits here and there ;)

  • Thanks Pippo and Hopeful for the warm welcome and advice.

I think I will put away what I can each day in a pot, but will only count it as a spend day for the NSD challange the day when I pay it off credit card.
