Argh!! And it was all going so well. Stressful but moving forward. Now I've hit a Huge speed bump I couldn't have foreseen. i'm wobbling, but will be back straight again soon. That's the only way to think isn't it? Harumph.

(boiler in our rental property has died. Management company doing their best but am not convinced a replacement is best. I'm mend and repair kind of girl. Even replacement can't be done till wed. So feel awful for our tenant.

Keep repeating... Even a new boiler is cheaper than what we'd have had to loose to sell it.

Oh ruby, I'm so sorry for your loss. Some people just are so special arent they? I've found the very special ones kind of linger in my memory far stronger, they've touched me so deeply their presence sort of goes on and on. IFSWIM.

Keeping the celebration of his life event might help everyone come to terms with the shock?

Thank you everyone - please don't worry about posting about other stuff first I often post then read.

I did suggest maybe still having the celebration and his wife said she had thought about it but needs to get her head around everything before deciding.

There is to be a post mortem to ascertain the exact cause of death as it was so sudden.

Anyway on other news I am pleased; I went through the drawers to try and find my credit cards and came across a Tesco voucher for a Good Housekeeeping subscription. I had completely forgotten about it. I also came across an appointment I had completely forgotten about.

I did find one credit card eventually but not in the drawers.

Being without them has been good though so I think I'm going to stop using them after Christmas.

Can you freeze leeks? They're 49p in Aldi this week and very yummy in soups/stews....was thinking about buying some and freezing but have no idea if I have to cook them first. Nigella I am not
