at least im going good with my challenge so far, spent £1.00 yesterday for 10 packs of cigarette and nsd everyday this wk, only thing i will have to get each wk is milk as my freezer is now full of homemade things there is no room to freeze my milk. will have to walk around with horse blinkers on to stop me spending, oh i need eggs as well, got 1 left and they usually last me 2 wks, but i been cooking lots this wk and loving it haha.

Very sad news for me this morning - my friend with cancer passed a way suddenly last night.

They were planning to have a celebration of his life next Saturday as they knew he didn't have long but this was unexpected.

He and his wife are part of what I consider to be life's special people - that's not to say others aren't special too - but you know how sometimes people just stand out for their kindness and integrity etc.

My first boyfriend's parents were in that category too.

    I feel devastated.
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

    Thank you seriouslyfrugal.

It does seem that way sometimes doesn't it.

My first boyfriend's Dad also died of cancer 'before time' in his fifties.

Big hugs to you too in memory of your Dad x

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

Oh Ruby thats so sad, do you feel you could maybe suggest still having the celebration rather than a funeral gathering? Would his wife and would he have thought that a good idea? Hopefully he is in a restful place now, looking down on you all xxxx
