Slowly - love the idea of that. I love their gingerbread late.
Ruby - I'd love to do outdoor swimming. Swimming is the only exerciser I like but it's too expensive + chlorine isn't good with exema on my foot. I'm so glad u can do it.
Nat Nat. - woo for bunting! :jRelax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -

Hi Cherryjack. I've had a google and found this...link If you scroll down there are some lovely ideas. Don't know how old your neice is though but for some reason have assumed she's a little one. The felt boards look lovely.
Hope you get some good ideas from there.

thank you all for your concern. i do try to have at least one warm meal a day when my appetite is low, but is not always easy as i have to force myself to eat and then end up wasting it. i dont like waste.
managed to eat a cheese and branston sandwich and a packet of hula hoops. cut the crusts off use them for something else if i can(taken from tumpty:p)
have also had another 2 coffee, 1 tea glass milk and glass squash.0 -

That's a shame about the swimming Spiral.
I just love it so much but only outdoors now.
It really lifts my mood and helps me relax plus I have osteoarthritis and it helps with that.
Tumpty I have a friend who just swears by running and I know a lot of people do - really it's just a case of finding what works for you and doing it regularly - the problem when you are feeling down is getting that impetus to make a start but it really pays off in the end.
Anyway off for a swim later and visiting my elderly neighbour but need to make a phone call and then do some timed cleaning first; the house went totally to pot when I was concentrating on my presentation! Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Thanks for that - my daughter first said she didn't want any Christmas presents she would just like some money for when she goes travelling next year but I wasn't keen on that - will help her nearer the time but we are under strict instructions not to buy frippery but practical things (please). Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Hi Guys n Girls Just a quick question regarding gas & electricity usage.
I have over the last few months been keeping an eye on our usage and obviously over the last few weeks it has increased due to having the heating on more often, I'm wondering how we compare to others on here. We are 2 adults and 2 teenage kids living in a 4 bedroom house, our average use is approx £3/day for both gas & electricity. Would be interested to hear what everyone else's usage is - should I nag the kids more to switch things off / turn the heating down?????????????????:jNSD 12, SAVING ALL MY CHANGE FOR HOLIDAY SPENDS - SO FAR £23.96:j0 -
That's less than mine but I am in a draughty Victorian terrace with folk more lily livered than me when it comes to heating.
We are stict about turning lights on and off apart from the kitchen because it is so dull and takes so long to light up (long life bulb) we tend to just leave it on all evening. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
