  • Thanks everyone for your support ..... Sandra thinking of you and (((hugs)))

Purple I bought a shopping trolley a while ago when I discovered a Home Bar*gains shop near where DM lives but there was no car park nearby - I thought I'd look an idiot but frankly I don't really care anymore when I save more than the cost of the trolley everytime I go! (I am in my late 30s)

I also use nappy sacks for the cats litter tray and they are brilliant for that purpose.

Thank you Dizzy - it's nice to be missed!

Sandra so sorry to hear that things are still very difficult for you and your loved ones - wishing you strength to get through.

Purple orchid don't let the not sleeping get out of hand will you. X

A brilliant day for me last day of my course and our presentation went brilliantly!

So lucky with my partner we worked so well together!

Cookies I made went down a treat too.

NSD for me as we get lunch provided and had fish an chips bought for m for dinner.
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

Ooh ruby, i'd love dish an chips! OH has an exam we'd, maybe I can use your excuse to get some in? :)

wasnt at work today, had my days changed round. Went to town as cheaper to get petrol there, even adding the extra distance on! Found 3 perfect presents in CS :j - 2 books and a particular Tshirt for my dad (well, i'll give it to mum, and she'll slip it in his pile and she'll not have to wash them so often!). Found a book my OH will like too, but too creased to even be a stocking filler, but only 10p so I gave him that tonight :)

Bought a couple of Xmas decorations in Poundland. Want to be frugal, but also want to decorate this year, and celebrate being in our new home. We didn't bother last year as were supposed to be moving, and the year before that my nan was dying so it didn't feel right.

Parked in sainsburys, havnt been there for ages, the prices were a little shocking, as was the change in their stock. Noticed things like value chilli sauce have gone :(. Am so glad I work near a HBargains!

Been worrying about my budget lately, I must be honest and say I have no idea where i am on the year. I need to pay my OH a considerable sum, till I do that I won't even know how much is mine anymore.
Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!

Ahh! I keep meaning to look up a programme that someone mentioned to me but I don't know quite where to start, it is about treating all sorts of illnesses by changing what people eat, I think they do one about stress and mental health which would be useful for me!

Good morning everyone.. looking for some help and advice.. Ive realised its my neices birthday in the next week and i need to send a birthday present in the post on a budget. Also i have planned a day out to see arthur with my 5 year old and partner, using tesco club card vouchers for the cinema and costa card points for yummy coffees... we also have a 20.00 voucher for the harvester so all in all will be a fab cheap day. One problem, my friend has booked us a day for afternoon tea (before the lightbulb moment, i purchased this for her birthday) and her OH will be spending a few hours with my oh, shes mentioned they could go for a meal.. and im worried it will send our spends too high now. Really cant afford it before xmas .. hope u can give me a few ideas .. thank you x

have you any tesco rewards left - you could get a restaurant voucher - or look online for any offers, I think there are 2 meals for a tenner at a few big places right now - there will be a list on the money saving expert newsletter - link top right of this page :-)
