Making a meal plan for the week has really helped - it was chicken last night, pork roast tonight, bubble & squeak tomorrow with leftover pork, chorizo pasta meal on Thur - this has really helped control my impulse shopping.
On an annoying note, I had a full recycling bin of soft drink cans waiting to go to Tesco to collect points (have been saving them for weeks). I was tired last night and lovely husband put the rubbish and recycling out for me...including the cans. Oh well, starting again now!0 -
Was doing so well so far but afraid I gave in..lol. We are having a chinese tonight because I really fancy one and I can't be mithered to cook in this heat. Will do a proper meal tomorrow, promise. So this chinese is our takeaway for the month, well that's what I keep telling myself..lol
So I have spent £20.10 tonight.. Will update siggie.

PS - Hippiechiq and Spiggle - let us know you are ok even if you don't want to post, missing you
Hello All,
Thank you so much sistercas, Chloris, guccigoo and helen jelly for your good wishes - good to see you're all still here. Sorry i've been MIA but everything got very strange in April and then May and I couldn't keep up with posting. But I did keep track and I've posted my figures on the respective threads.
I won't go into detail but suffice to say that the experts' worst fears were not confirmed and I will be with you for some time yet, thankfully. I hope everyone else who had such a difficult spring is starting to get better too.

£7.30 spent in Tesco on tomatoes, potatoes, broccoli, onions, cous cous, part baked baguettes, baking fat, crisps and kievs.
I have just realised that I also picked up a bulb of garlic which I must have left in the basket as it's not on my receipt! Doh.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Thank you,it's really good to be back with you all. :T
How long has Hippechiq been gone for? I have to admit that I updated the threads I missed but haven't been through them. Hippeechiq I hope you and your daughter are ok and you've kicked *ss!
A NSD today but I do have a long list looming in the kitchen.
Oooh, I had a bit of luck some weeks (months?) ago now. When MrS lanched the eat for £50 per week menus they ran a competition to win one of their weeks list. With it only being the two of us it went a long way and managed to give my daughter some of the things we wouldn't use. That's probably why our June spend was so low. Ah, things are starting to come back to me! :rotfl:
Still haven't done the rest of my sig but it's hectic at the moment in work and so working it out is taking time. Should get done on Friday when I'm off.
I smell my supper so I'm away again now. Probably won't be by tomorrow but hope to see you all on Thursday.
Take care,

Well I have managed a NSD today but did spend another £8.63 yesterday in Ald* i'm really beginning to love that store, found that their light mayo is 89p for a fairly big squeezy bottle and was chuffed when I got home and compared to hellmanns extra light mayo Ald8s is actually one cal less per 15g. Glad I have started doing this as it just shows how much I have managed to spend considering I haven't even done a real shop yet. Think I have lots of work to do to get this shopping bill down but I will do it.To get to Disneyland Florida 20160

Trying to put together a home delivery from Mr A as they have emailed today offering me free delivery so might as well have it delivered but everything just seems expensive, pretty sure will send about £150 of budget this weekend as it is stock up weekend on all animal stuff plus everything else we can for a month. To get to Disneyland Florida 20160

Freebie chinese meal from the freezer tonight (4 boxes of leftovers) as I started to empty our fridge freezer, it's a Beko so I started to sort it out inbetween trying to get onto their help line! No one answering but found out from their web site that my model is ok! :j:j so another nsd which I am surprised about as I had a late appointment at the hospital today! Nomally would be getting a takeaway of some sort, today there was no need! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
