Annie, can I ask wat cream u use? Double or single or the one in a can? I've never tried ganache, I didn't realise that's all it was to make it!

It doesn't really matter. I tend to use double. You don't need to whip the cream first, it's dead easy.
  • In Photobucket copy the IMG code for your pic and just paste that here.

Wow that is brilliant! I bet she was delighted with it!
  • twinkles thats fab :D i bet your daughter was thrilled

is it a real doll stuck in ? or half a doll ? if that makes sense ?
  • Thanks :p She was v pleased with it and when it was time to cut it,all the children crowded round 'cos they wanted to see what it looked like inside-bless!Only problem was they all wanted to touch n stroke it-not v hygienic! lol

Yes It is a full sized rupunzal/barbie type doll.I got a new one as part of my daughters pressie and then wrapped clingy film round her legs and pushed her into the cake gently.I also had to tie her hair up so it didn't get iced by accident-she looked quite odd at one point!:rotfl:

Well the 300 person cake is done. We ended up having to buy the sponge from a bakery as there wasnt time to bake and decorate so that cost us a lot more than we had bargained for. If I had known that when I quoted I would have asked for more doh! Oh well. Here it is!

We also made a plain slab cake to go with it to make sure there was enough. The cake is to "celebrate" my company Halcrow being bought by CH2MHill, hence the two names on the cake. The top layer is yesterdays date as thats when the deal went through and were an Engineering company so thats what the bottom layers are about.

And heres another cake I did this week. Busy busy!!
