also, use some white flora or trex. Rub it all over your rolling pin (unless its wooden) and your worktop then use kitchen roll to rub most of it off. You shouldn't need any cornflour then.0

Hi Everyone,
I've got a really quick question.... about cake pops!
I've made them once before, and I want to make them again but I was wondering about how long they last.
If I make them this weekend, and keep them in an air tight container how long would they last before decoration, once decorated how long do they keep for and also can the cake balls be frozen?
Thanks for the help!Now Mrs! Still mum though....Holiday 2013January - DubaiAugust - Disney World & New York0 -
You can freeze the cake balls before they're coated. Once decorated they keep for up to a week. Cream cheese ones keep for about 3 days.
I find it easier to decorate them as I'm coating them, but that's just me0 -

I use Sugarflair paste colours, which you can use for colouring sugarpaste icing and buttercream, but for really vibrant colours, it's best to buy ready made.0 -

Hi all, Hope you don't mind me jumping in? I love making cakes, I've been teaching myself. So, I've finally cracked how to lay the fondant over the cake. How do I 'clean' my cake up though? I've been using icing sugar when rolling the fondant out.
ETA. This is the link if it doesn't work, never tried adding pics to this site before!

What do you mean clean the cake up? Is it icing sugar stains? I brush vodka over the cake to clean up and add a little sheen. Don't worry the alcohol evaporates very quickly, leaving a colourless, tasteless, clean finish0
