Lovely cakes as always.
I have some more probably very silly questions if anyone would be kind enough?
I tried a sponge recipe to use at the weekend and it was lovely (didn't take long for it to disappear!) but although I levelled off, it still had a 'hump' in the middle.....do you just cut the 'hump' off to get a level surface to ice?
My next challenge is to attempt icing!
Thank you

What I used to do at work was level it off as best I could, then turn it upside down and ice the 'bottom' instead, as it was a much flatter surface. If that makes sense?£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit

Cherydee it looks lovely. I'd be happy with that. The buttercream does look a little runny as some of the detail has merged together, but I love the two tone effect!

Sorry Annie, thought it was you that posted the link, its on the old thread so wont go looking!
Done another 2 dozen cupcakes today for my work colleague's sister, as she is leaving her work place tomorrow to have a baby. Did 1 dozen chocolate and mars bar cupcakes (didn't take a pic sorry) and 1 dozen vanilla with vanilla icing. The photo was taken inside the box this morning before I took them to work, so sorry for the poor qualityYou're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0 -
Moose, they look lovely!
I'm cake popping again tomorrow. Everyone has gone mad on them. I'm doing more babies, Tardis and Calais, and (maybe) some watermelons. :-)0 -
