Order for a friend just completed today, quite pleased with how it went, although I was ready to throw my lettering cutter through the window at one point :0

They sell little tubs of candy floss (and I have seen white) for around 30p in Home bargains, in the sweet aisle

  • Hiya all, I am after a little advice.

I have one of the brown silicon button moulds
    (http://www.thecakedecoratingcompany.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=5241 - this one)
and wanting to use Regal Ice in it as I want to have a go at making a rainbow cake with rainbow buttons. I cant for the life of me manage to get the regal ice out of the mould perfectly! I have floured with cornflour, someone has said to try using trex which I have got to try, but has anyone had any success with these moulds and regal ice? I have googled it but can only find chocolate being used in them...
So much for 'Money Saving' ;)

it might work with royal icing as that would set hard over a 24 hour period.

you can get a packet of royal icing sugar in most supermarkets and colour it yourself

i had to divert my attention elsewhere as the humidity attacked my skull cake!!! had a total panic but managed to fix it before pickup. just bought a fan today to keep the kitchen a bit cooler on hot days....
