schofield8883 - are you going to carve the cake? If so, I'd probably suggest a chocolate madeira cake. If it's a flat cake then I love this recipe.
This is how I make chocolate buttercream It's delicious!0 -

Help someone quick, im making a giant cupcake tomorrow for the woman in the hairdressers, remember lol
anyway she's just messaged to ask if it will feed 14 kids!!! I know that when I have made them before at least 15 adults have eaten it, but does anyone officially know the correct portion size of a giant cupcake???
You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0 -
All the info I've found suggests between 10 and 25 portions!!! I suppose it depends how big she cuts it but she'll definitely feed 14 kids from it.0

Thank you becs and Nanamia, they were really pleased with it. Practically all gone now! Even my fiance loved it, he doesn't like cake but he said it was really light and tasty :j
No idea what to do next, I make cupcakes quite regularly but they're nothing special! Will probably make a cake for when my sister has her baby in July but not sure about anything before that!0 -
Just noticed ur wedding date. You've got plenty of time to do your own cake !!

Hiya all!
Monkeymagic: How is it going with the visit of the EHO?
Sweet treats: Hello and welcome!I do cake pops as well. I bought rice krispies the other day cos it's a lot better they say to mould and don't fall when you dip it in candy melts but haven't tried it yet.
Becs: You were so lucky to have kitchenaid as pressie. Hubby asked me if I want one last Christmas but refused to get one cos for me it's too pricey. I asked for a Siri instead... Lol I'm happy with my Kenwood Prospero anyway cos it's practical.
Nanamia: Thanks for sharing how u did minnie! x0 -
Schofield: Hiya! You lucky girl! You have a whole year to practice to perfection but don't forget u should be free of stress before your big day so plan ahead. x0
