I also got a 3p connection charge when I tried it today.

The email definitely said there is no connection fee.

There isn't for PC to PC!

(I think the 3p you have been charged will be for pc to phone? - It's a catch!!)

EDIT 3/3/05: This problem now seems fixed - calls to landlines are now coming on the bill as "FREE" with no connection charge.

The advantage of using it with broadband is that you will always be connected, so incoming calls to your pc will get through.
Are there any hints that 1899 will provide a number for incoming calls, either now or in future?

I want to use it or sipgate or both in a free wi-fi zone abroad

Its downloading and installing but not running- giving me a error message saying that the installer.exe program is not a valid win32 system program.

    A CATCH????
From the e-mail they sent me:
Nowhere else will you be able to find such fantastic Voip rates (and no connection fees!)

Are they still charging connection fees??
  • Surely they can not charge a connection fee when they say No connection fees?
