You don't need either, but I vote dishwasher as most useful. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Probably a bit late now - but in my opinion the tumble drier is more needed.
I had a washer drier once, many years ago - it was not very good. They've probably got better these days.0 -
I don't have either, and don't see the need for either. Infact I've just got rid of the dishwasher because we never used it and it filled up half our conservatory. Much more space in there now

Dishwasher and you could get one of those heated airers as a dryer....best of both worlds...http://www.lakeland.co.uk/21736/Dry-Soon-Heated-Tower-DryerDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Neither and I got three kids. Save your money for days out whilst you leave your clothes to dry on the clothes horse and your dishes dry on the rack.0

Well I don't have children so possibly my opinion doesn't count (lol!).
I have both but the dw is rarely used. The tumble dryer is used all through the winter as neither me or OH can stand having wet washing hanging round the house. It makes the air damp and looks awfulThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
House with no heating/radiators, plus 11 month old child. has got to be tumble dryer (tho this thread has just prompted me to go on ebay and bid on a slimline dishwasher!)0
