Fake goods on play.com

OP you say you choose not to report them? You should have left negative feedback stating the Disney DVD was counterfeit and you should have reported the seller to Play and Trading Standards. This will save others suffering as you have. The same goes for the game if you are sure it's counterfeit.
I know, I really should report them, but as they refunded without question and immediately, I chose not to. I still can of course, but judging by the feedback they already have, I don't think it will make any difference to be honest.
They are clearly getting away with it. The DVD seller has 'fake' in his feedback dating back to January 09. But as they have almost 1000 feedback, they are kind of lost. I don't think they will lose any sleep over it even If I did leave feedback, they will deny it and continue selling.
Now I'm just wary of buying anything off play that can be faked. GBA games, DS games and DVD's seem to be the fakers favourite...lesson learned!0 -
I understanding reporting can be time consuming, but any seller that had the front to charge me £28 for a fake DVD would get bad feedback! In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

i think play are based in the chanel islands so a lot of their stuff could be fake.0

The OP purchased from a third party seller on Play not Play.com themselves. Every major DVD retailer has a base in the Channel Islands due to VAT purposes, it doesn't have anything to do with the authenticity of their goods. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

What on earth?? a bizarre generalisation there with no evidence whatsoever.
Why the OP refuses to return it is baffling. As he has had a full refund, it is not his to keep surely? The fact that he has not even left any feedback about it and would rather just "not bother" suggests that clearly he's going to keep the item and use it. Its also bizarre to be adamant that the seller knew exactly what he was supplying. Again, no evidence whatsoever. I too sell on Playtrade and you are exactly the kind of customer we could all do without. Its quite clear you are just after a freebie.0 -
