  • hey siren.
I know how you feel. I get days like that all too often.
the best way of keeping on track on a day like this is to change gear a little bit.
instead of doing a "work out" do something that counts (eg calorie burns) but might not be, u know, aerobics or lunges or a run.
Do something that you can see the results when your done.

Write down five things that you are genuily happy about, about yourself.. they can be small. eg
I like that I have decnt eyelashs
I like that I have a hair style that suits me now.
I like that I have a waist (even if the measusrements arent what I'd like them to be yet)
.... small things, but things to be happy about...

I dont know how long uve been trying to loose weight, but if its longer than 3 weeks try taking ure measurements (this works much better if u took them when u started weight loss. but if u didnt it means u have them for next time)

or last and not least.... and basicall what works when I'm in a fowl I'm a teenager now F**K o*f day (even if I'm not a teenager now)
pamper. watch that fil m you love. paint your toes (I paint smiley faces on mine but Im mad) and allow yourself a treat. your allow a hug from yourself (my hug is a skinny caramel latte from costa that used to be daily)

    hope that helps (probably doesnt)
    hugs and pokes of encouragement.

    :D

I didn't go to the gym this morning either, I was awake, but couldn't be a!!ed, are the cravings PMT related at all?

But I have packed my gym stuff in the car to go that way for 30mins of my lunch hour!

Perfect I think doing the house work is great, all that bending and stretching must be good for you, you can save running around the block for another day :rotfl::rotfl:

I now have 3 pairs of trousers that fall off when done up! :o:o all in the car booting box.

Thanks for all the advice guys, dieting sucks so much more than getting fat lol

I've forced myself to workout. I feel better for it even though the wheels on the machine need oiling again. I'm trying to relax and bounce with some classical music and all I can hear is squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. Thursday will be the end of the 2nd week so I'll be treating myself to something pretty for my hair then. Only 2 days to go lol. I'm going to have a quiet 15 minutes now to recover and let my legs solidify then start the housework :/
Smashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j

Well I must say, last night at the gym wasn't half as bad as Friday. Am I getting fitter? Or did I just not work as hard without an instructor to badger me? ;) hehe

I'm going to give the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred dvd a whirl this evening. From what I've heard it's a killer, so you're likely to hear me whine from all corners of the country!

So ladies....(gents, if any of you are) who's up for 22 minutes of something exercise-y tonight?! "C'mon let's get to it, I know that we can do it".

    much love

  • I need some words of encouragement/solace. Ive been trying to do really well at eating properly, breakfast, light lunch, goo dinner with veg and less carbs.... but today I have had a set back.
I knew my jeans were tight, the warning sign that I needed to concentrate on doing something like this, but I have just taken them off the washe and folded pile, ready to shimmy struggle into them, hoping to find it a little bit easier today after a week and bit of good effort.... but disaster

they are broken. the zip is completely bust and some of the stitiching below where the zip should sart have come away resulting in being completly unwearable and me feeling fat and disgusting.

    someone say something nice. please?

Kate you must be getting fitter well done.

Perfect, been there done that, MSE go to the local dry cleaners and ask if they do repairs and see if it is worth a new zip ready for next time you are ready to wear them.
Now do you keep a food diary, so you can ACTUALLY see what you are eating, rather than what you think you are eating, I found that a good place to start.
How are your workouts going for this week?
We all have set backs from time to time, you are tougher than a set back, get your mind set, you can and will shift the extra weight, if you can (I have read part of the other thread) get all the high fat food out of the house / not bought next time the shopping is done. Get loads of fruit and veg bought / grown, tell everone in the house it is for their benefit as well, have a family walk / bike ride / ball game to the local park / gardens / lake or what ever.

perfect awh honey maybe the jeans shrunk???? just put today behind you and be resolved to start again with a vengance tomorrow - you can do it - especially because you want to and thats whats needed - think about your day for tomorrow and what you will eat when and as Kaz so rightly says you need to write down every morsel that goes in your mouth - its surprising when you look at it!!!

I weighed yesterday and have lost my first 3 pounds I cant believe it - I wasnt very well from sunday night but i must have done something right before then!
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

I've got you :D, and weighing in is entirely up to you, some people weigh weekly, others fortnightly and others monthly! So decide and go from there :o
