Driving ticket - incorrect paperwork

Why does the OP think they should be able to get off scott free just because the police officer didn't know his topography? After all they jumped a red light, and could have killed someone.
Just take the punishment, and learn to pay more attention to the road next time.
Exactly its ts10 3 points and 60 fine. If the copper had gone to summons you could understand the need for this but since FPN has been offered I would take it.
I got one for a company car I let another member of staff use as theres was blocked in. Cause I failed to get them to sign and handover form with times and dates to got to tescos and get a sandwich. I wish I was on first name terms with nigel farrage of ukip could of said I was on the plane with him like chris huhne mp.0 -
It doesn't matter what the witness reads out in court (it is also highly unlikely the he will be called as a witness anyway). Only what is written on the indictment is what matters. If the officer reads that the car was on road "A" and the charge reads that it was on road "B," the statement will not match the charge. Trust me, far more serious cases have been dismissed on lesser technicalities than that.
Magistrates court will have a copy of the police officers statement a standard form with the blanks filled in. It will have the drivers reply to the officier when the offence was put to them. Unless its I am not even here I didnt do it.
I wouldnt hold your breath.0 -

Is it possible to carry out a prosecution where the indictment states incorrect charges? The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Don't get me started!
Yea pop over to the ^Police driver bullying car through redlight(thread)^ Then see how many people would like that car and driver bullied through the light risking the lives of countless road users so it can get where its going quicker.
Apparently though most emergency services have decided to issue advice to contary through this video fhttp://www.bluelightaware.org.uk/ many think its ok and they won't/shouldnt be fined for it in these circumstances.0 -

Emergency service drivers are trained to not bully other drivers, or force them to make illegal manoeuvres. If they can't get through the traffic at a red light, then they are trained to switch their sirens off and wait.0 -

You can't answer my question so you have read up one some law.
Indictment your getting into crown court grounds now were talking about FPN for ts10 dealt with by magistrates unless they choose to refer it.
The charges will contain the road traffic offence failing to comply with signal namely a traffic light on BLAH BLAH road. Which the op says wrong : who is to say the copper nos better?
So your agrument is that the offence contained in indictment has the incorrect name road, so the offence was not committed.
Like I said if you can swing it to crown court then maybe but I don't fancy the gamble with magistrate court who probably don't understand the concept of indictment.0 -

You would think so but I have seen it with my own eyes.
Someone here has and no some police forces dont have a policy covering it so its a grey area.0 -
