Glasgow City Council have told me that to renew my Blue Badge they are now charging £20 admin fee.
Anyother MSE members getting charged by their Councils?
I'm really angry about this but what choice do i have?

Hmmm £20 is much higher than I was charged last Dec. I think I paid £2.
My blue badge lasts 3 years and I must save so much money in parking costs so when you look at it in terms of what you save then I can see why they want to charge more for getting a blue badge. Although there seems to be such a difference in price depending on where you live and that is unfair.0 -

Its £20 maximum everywhere now and even then it is low compared to what it's going to cost in administration because of the way badges are changing, zero to the maximum of £2 has been around for at least the twenty years or so ive had a BB so its only reasonable to raise it.
I rarely use BB bays now because they arnt wide enough for my Paravan but I do park on street where my ramp can be deployed onto pavements so i will still renew mine in September and since badges last 3 years its under £7 a year so its still worth it.0 -
My Sisters badge runs out next month and she got her renewal form last week, it still costs £2 which is the same as it was 9 years ago when she first applied, no doubt it will rise in the future.0

They did in the UK, but Scotland when consulting its own people were given a range between £0 & £20
Interestingly there is no comment on whether the new BB issued for Scotland is in line with the new anti-fraud BB in the rest of the UK. Or for example whether its the same~old~same~old bit of plasticated paper it was when it was £2Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
