I have done online Mr T shop using the £15 off £50 first shop + £10 cashback. I will update my figures once it has been delivered on Monday. I won't include the cashback as I like to use that towards the 100 day challenge that I'm doing. It should be pretty close to what I have left in the budget for the month though so hoping to be just under.
I did do quite a bit of stocking up on bits for September to get it up to that much so will have to see if this pays off for next month.

I need to start thinking about lunchboxes now too as DD starts school in Sep so lunch box every day (they don't do hot dinners :(). Will need to keep it interesting as she gets bored of sarnies or having the same sort of thing again and again, and she just won't eat if she's not interested in it!
Off to write a list with her now me thinks then will do a lunchbox mealplan for the month too...

well i blew the remnants of the august budget well out of the water, id run out of washing powder. last brought in bulk when morrys had an offer on earlier in the year and i got 6. was using up the dregs when i saw mrt was doing bold on bogof so nipped in last night and got 4 boxes brought DS 12 months xbox gold as his doing well in gcses treats so went over £50 to use a £5 off voucher.

am now going to be good for the rest of the year, ive listed whats in the cupboards and am on a use up before buying more and stick to a shopping list regieme.

last nights tea was savoury rice with veggie sausages ds and his 3 mates who were sleeping over had pizzas at somepoint after id gone bed - i only know this because i mentioned buying two and they werent in the fridge this morning just a plate of edges on the table so i now know one of them can operate a cooker LOL.

dinner was omlettes for us cheese melts for the lads, they sholud all be gone by tea time that will be shepherds pie with veggie mince and sweetpotato topping.

ideas for littles lunchboxes, sausage rolls pittas or wraps instead of sarnis or maybe one of those thermal flasks wth pasta rice or in colder weather chunky soup in, check the schools 'healthy eating polocy some things are on a banned list in some schools and also if thy have a child with nut allergies peanut butter can be deemed off the menu.

    Other spends this week:

    Mr A- £12.82
    HB- £8.27
    other- £2.39

Have £44.13 left of this month's budget I am pleased with that as normally go well over. Still this weeks shop to do so that could all change.

Don't need loads as have a lot in mainly just fruit, veg , bread and milk. I will use my £6 off £30 spend from Mr S and hopefully stay within budget.

Good luck to everyone else :)

I am trying to decide on my budget for september, my eldest is starting full time school so will be having dinners at school, they ask that you let them have school dinners for at least the first term think it is a bit of a cheek myself really but have told them if they keep an eye and she eating a hot meal I will let her have school dinners however if she is picking sandwiches she is going onto packed lunch. The dinners cost £9.75 a week so i need to add that into budget but on the other hand that is 5 pack ups I am not sending her to my dads with and at least I know she should be having a hot meal.

I could really do with some ideas for cheaper meals, unfortunately my oh doesn't eat much veg and at he moment we basically eat fajitas, curry, chilli and a dinner once a week plus something with chips along the way, trying to have one night of a jacket or toasties to have a cheap night.

Went out today for a ride in car with my daughter to keep her company whilst her car was in garage for a small repair. On way back she needed to go into Home bargains spent 99p on peanuts for birdtable, some descaler for steamer and some batteries came to 2.89 also popped into Asda, for bread, crisps cooking sauce, beans on special offer and that lot came to £5.20 hoping this is my last spend of September fingers crossed!!

    Hi,
The £30 a week (on average over the month) budget seems to be going ok so far. I have to pop to Mr T's and the greengrocers for a few bits tomorrow and hopefully will spend less than £15, although I am infamously rubbish at judging spending.

Mrs M - could you put me down for £30 a week for Sept please?

    August GC = £348.88/345.00 - so i have gone over a little.

my original budget was £300 but i increased it to £345 to include the "budget" i had set aside for a bbq we had last weekend.

I am happy(ish) with this months spend, but must do better next month!! :p

Will stick with £300 for September and this month I WILL NOT go over. :)
    Debts @ 20-04-14 = £10,987

Have receipts for total spend of €157.98, but know that there is a receipt somewhere for about €60....going to declare at €217.98 for August...will not be spending another cent!

Please put me down for €185 again for September, hope to keep to it as freezer is groaning, as are cupboards.
