It's been all over the place this month with a week camping, so I am not entirely sure of the total. It's either £343 or £399... guess we'd better go for the higher number. Will update signature.
Was gutted I didn't realise Tesco's BOG2F beans were on until I was leaving the shop. If they are still on I may get some but I am trying really hard NOT to add to my bursting store-cupboard as I have been going OTT and it's full of random things. But we always need beans (don't necessarily need 2 tins of condensed milk, a xmas pud and a tin of bean salad among the many things in the cupboard that are not being eaten!)

If you do have bread left over going dry pop it in your foodprocessor and then freeze the breadcrumbs. These will then be ready for a future recipe.

If you want it for things like coating chicken (I'm doing breaded turkey goujons for dinner tonight) you need to bake it at around 150C first until brown before processing, then it's dry breadcrumbs, otherwise it's fresh breadcrumbs for things like bulking out burgers and meatballs. Hope that helps.

    Hi there,

I have taken advantage of the Tesco online grocery offer for £15 off £50 spend plus £10.10 from topcashback. Will let you all know how it works out :D

    Hi all,

Ordered just over £50 from Tesco, used £15 off code and £12.50 vouchers so paid £24.20. Also £10.10 cashback is showing in my topcashback account, so I effectively got £50.15 grocery shop for £14.10! :j very very happy!

Back from hols and spent £2.78 on bread and milk on the way home and since boots have 3 for 2 on I have ordered £11.34 in baby food, even though I won't get it until 2nd sept I am counting it now since I have paid for it. Still hoping to scrape in under budget but that will really depend on if I can get out shopping without oh!!

Top up shops are done (for now!) and I am £1.05 over and have to get to the end of Tuesday. I am so disappointed :(. But being this close will help the annual and that is the point of the monthly, to keep me on the straight and narrow. I am hoping to drop my monthly target in September and batch cook a few cheap meals. Better write some more lists and make some more plans....
