  • Afternoon all!

Back from my couple of days away to celebrate a friends 40th - not going to declare meals as it was part of holiday except for

    £3.57 in Mr S

which I shelled out for a huge bag of Tetley bags, a pint of semi and a pint of semi skimmed milk and a reduced snack pot of brushetta thingies with a smoked salmon dip at a huge price of 39p - somehow I paid for the lot - I don't even drink milk in tea and I wasn't bothered about the t bags - was happy with the ones in hotel but the others wanted a "proper brew":o all I wanted was the snack!

Wouldn't mind but one of the other girls took T bags home with her too and the milk got chucked after 3 rounds of tea!

I've just done my online shop with Mr T for the next week and it comes in at £52.09. However having read the last few posts they've reminded me I need tea bags and toilet rolls! :rotfl:

I'll have to go back online and change it. It already comes to £52.09 so I'm a bit miffed as I'm making 3 dinners out of stuff already in the freezer. I have had to buy nappies for DD but DS's night time ones are on special in Mr J S's so going to ask MIL to pick them up tomorrow when she does her weekly shop.

So I'm probably looking at around £65 once other bits added on.

    Hi all

Have blown my budget for August

I caved in and ordered from Approved Foods (£41.15 inc del) - was masses of stuff and should last the whole of September for packed lunches etc - I have hidden most of it from the hungrey hoards :rotfl:

HAd to get some sensible shopping too and spent £20.96 at Mr
L,s, most of this was veg for bulk cooks this weekend, so that will run well into September too.

Bit fed up with my lack of self control:cool: Will try harder for September and will stick to same £400 budget, but deal with my shop,s in a different way maybe.

Have a good one all x

yet more spends to add to the month which means i'm well over as i'm sure theres a receipt from last wk somewhere that i havent added yet

damage today of £56 in mr t should have been cheaper but forgot to use my £6 off voucher doh and at least £15 was stuff we didnt need but managed to find its way onto the trolley anyway (must stop shopping with others in tow) otherwise I pretty much managed to stick to my list with the exception of a few offers like the 3 for 1 radox showergels which I might take off this months budget as it was all stuff that will go away for later.

into damage limitation mode now till the end of the month but should only need bread/milk as we're using huge amount of both at the mo.

gonna have a think about sept budget coz I really need to get it lower. even though i didnt manage it aug budget was higher to account for the school hols and I'm def doing much better than I usually would thanks to this thread :D

    Hi all!

It's payday tomorrow so today will be the last day of our GC month - declaring at £333.78! So under budget of £400. This was a 5 week month for us but £400 was a guestimate as our home circumstances had changed and now feeding 6.

Could I please be put down for a new target next month of £300? This may be a bit ambitious, but we've had a few silly spends this month,, so can do better. I won't be too upset if we go slightly over, it's four and a half weeks until next payday and I think we should definitely try! We're starting the month with a full storecupboard so getting off on the right foot.

The extra £100 will get absorbed into other bits of the budget, I think OH needs a little more monthly for petrol, and we both need a few winter clothes.

Will start posting on the september thread when it appears.

    Thanks guys!

    xx

  • Hi I am new to this but have been reading through and would really like to get my massive spend down! I usually spend around £300 but that is just for the 2 of us. and only really evening meals as I usually get my lunch in work! So going to aim for £300 including my lunches for September please. I have already spent £2.90 on lunch but have got the BF making egg mayo now for tomorrow!

    Thanks Folks x
