I have updated my signature because I have spent a lot :o. We needed to stock up on store cupboard things and I have also got a big shoulder joint which I will cook in the slow cooker, this should do 5 meals this month, I also have got a tray of eggs which should last the month. I need to aim for £50 per week now if I am going to make it, ho hum.

We are having hm tom&lentil soup for lunch. I have spent the morning making bread, sage and cheese star biscuits and squashed fly biscuits. Later I will make hm sausage rolls and a sponge tray bake. And if there is anything left by tomorrow morning I will be amazed :rotfl:.

    Enjoy your Sunday. x

I'm trying to get my budget back on track after not watching what I spend (or rather watching it all go away!).

Can you count me in for £500 for 2 adults and 3 children.

Chloris quote "I have spent the morning making bread, sage and cheese star biscuits and squashed fly biscuits".

I wonder are these like our "fly cemetery cakes" 2 pieces of pastry with a condensed version of mincemeat in the middle.

    Hi everyone,
Really pleased with Julys spends £164 and a few pence, although that is partly due to having family over from New Zealand, so lots of meals out, and bbqs at family's, so I wouldn't have done so well else. Have had a lovely day, its my birthday and DH made belgian waffles, fruit and cream for breakfast, really lovely, and im not cooking for tea, think we'll have a chinese as havent had one for ages. Back to scrimping tomorrow. Haha.
Need to do a biggish shop tomorrow, and a trip to the farm shop to get some meat.

Have a good week everyone x

Could you put me down for £100 please.

I'm a newbie here - have little insight into how much I spend but have a (small) freezer of meat/fish and stock so I should be able to last the month on £100 - just me and the cats.

Thanks to everyone on the forum.
