i got one. so please as never get any of these things. got the email and thought id try as usual but actually remembered about it at 12.08 but still managed to get one. the site was completely overloaded but my refreshing paid off. i got the email with the code instantly but had no luck applying tried for ages but it was down. i thought maybe it was only 2000 codes given so got home and tried there now and my card will be with me on 5th july apparently

I can understand the frustration that everyone is feeling regarding this. I tried this morning to get a code, using two different email addresses, initially with no luck.:mad:

After a little while I got 'you've used this email address' (I'm paraphrasing a little here), which was odd. I checked my emails and low and behold, I'd received a code. I followed the link I received, hitting the dreaded wall again, so I gave up with my head hung low.

This afternoon, even though I read that all the cards had gone within 30 minutes or so, I followed the link again and got through straight away! For that, I want to thank all those at MSE, and its forumites, for this great offer. :T

A few tips that may, or may not, work for future offers like these:

• Google the link, pasting it from the site, which calls up the site in its search. Open up the cached version and try to follow the links when the site has loaded. Sometimes this works, as you're loading google's latest snapshot of the site, sometimes it doesn't.
• Use different browsers, if you have them, as some can be slower than others.
• Restrict the amount of tabs you have open. This can be an issue in FireFox at times.
• Close all other programs you have running in the background, Spotify for example, as it's using your CPU usage which can slow your PC/laptop down

It's an automated number (not an operator), and it took me 2 minutes.
