Hi just been on the site and I can't see anything about £10 with £5 deduction. Are you sure Orange hasn't added £5 to your phone bill?
    GC - Oct £36.17/£31
    GC - Sep £35.56/£30:o
    GC - Aug £30.73/£31
    GC - Jul £30.80/£31

I also managed to get one of these and it has the £5 credit on it according to my web account.

Only problem is... I can't get it off!!! Card doesn't appear to work.
Tried to use it yesterday and the terminal in the cafe couldn't even see it.
Anyone else had a similar problem?

Getting customer service doesn't seem that easy, without paying a fortune in punitive phone call charges.
They do say "If you’re with Orange, call us for free on 311", but unless I've misinterpreted the small print, the call is free until someone actually answers, then it's 50p a minute!
Well done Orange, seem to have come up with a marketing inspired new definition of the word "free".

The only "free" way to contact them is by email, which I've done. But you just get an email back saying it can take a couple of days to reply so you may wish to call the premium rate line instead to get help.

    Still waiting...

Er.. thanks but yes I'd activated it. If I hadn't I wouldn't have a PIN number, so going to try and use it would have been a bit pointless.

I've now had a reply from Orange to my email, and they won't reply to my query about why it doesn't work by email "for security reasons".
They suggest I ring their expensive revenue-earning phone number to discuss.

There seems to be a recurring theme here. It's quite clear how they intend to make their money out of this business.

I'm going off Orange Cash by the minute.
Now if I can just get the fiver they've given me off it I can cut the card up and be happy :)

You may want to pick a date just before your card expires and put it in your diary now...

    • 7.2 If your Card has been used in the eight weeks prior to the expiry date, we’ll send a new Card free of charge to your registered address.
    • 7.3 If your Card has not been used in the eight weeks prior to the expiry date, we’ll send you an e-mail asking whether you would like to renew your Card or instead reclaim the outstanding Available Balance (if any).
    • 7.3.1 If you opt to have your Card renewed, you’ll be issued a new Card (fees apply, see paragraph 12).
