Orange Cash Card

The first card I had would work in chip-and-pin mode but was dead when used in contactless mode. No reader would even see it.
I persuaded Orange Cash to send me a replacement and that works fine. Dunno if they had a batch of duff cards.
So might be worth trying to get them swapped, "west is best".
Certainly worth emailing customer support. They do respond.0 -
I didn't get £5 free, in fact they have not credited my account with the £5 I deposited to get the card.
I activated it today and it costs £5 for the card and you don't get it back. If I had paid £15 for the cash card I get the card free with the £15 cash on it.
So, I destroyed the Orange Cash Card and bought a £15 Cash Card.. now I feel good that it will cost Orange £5.. the fiver they took when no one told me that Orange charge £5 for the cash card
Plus, if you lose it.. then they charge £5 to replace it. Best to top it up with what you;re gonna spend that day - if you lose it then buy another £15 and that way you don't have to keep paying £5 every time
If you lose it with £5 or more on it.. of course it makes sense to pay Orange £5 for a replacement0 -
Me too, I'm going off Orange Cash.. and everything else Orange except the 2-4-1 Orange Wednesdays.. lolEr.. thanks but yes I'd activated it. If I hadn't I wouldn't have a PIN number, so going to try and use it would have been a bit pointless.
I've now had a reply from Orange to my email, and they won't reply to my query about why it doesn't work by email "for security reasons".
They suggest I ring their expensive revenue-earning phone number to discuss.
There seems to be a recurring theme here. It's quite clear how they intend to make their money out of this business.
I'm going off Orange Cash by the minute.
Now if I can just get the fiver they've given me off it I can cut the card up and be happy0
