Like I suspected, my mental maths was wrong! It was actually £2.30 that went in last night. Tonight another 45p will be joining it
My pot seems to have got to a level where it doesn't seem to be getting any fuller. It's about 3/4 of the way up and I swear it was at that same level a month ago. So in order to prove my theory I have been dropping coins into it like mad. I suppose that's a good feature, just as long as there isn't a false bottom that my brother has been using to get it out with!
Thank you competition posters!

Good morning everyone
A very tired AWOL sparky reporting in. The whole work thing has taken over at the moment and I don't seem to have a moment to myself, I've had 1 day off in 10 weeks and I'm doing 12 hours a day, so if I've been absent for a while I apologise, hopefully the madness will stop soon and I can get back to normal things, like seeing my DW, eating dinner together and taking the dog for a walk!
A warm welcome to our newest members, I haven't had a chance to read all the posts I've missed, so I hope everyone else in Sealed pot challenge is OK and life is treating you all well.
Sue I got your email, very inspiring. Also had a reply from luckycharlie someone else having a busy time at the mo but hoping to get back into the swing of things soon.
Well have to dash there aren't enough hours in the day.
