You don't need to rejoin, everyone stays and the numbers remain the same. BTW, if you're not needing the money why not keep it by or bank it for when you need something or a holiday.

Ahhh this answers a couple of my questions.

I thought you wanted everyone to tote up on December 1 so you could find out the total amount we've all saved collectively. Is this correct?

I'm going to Australia next May so ideally I'd hold off opening mine until then to give me a bit of extra spending money. Otherwise if I have to open it this week I'll stick to the original plan of putting it in my savings account for my mortgage deposit.

Just as a matter of interest/or me being nosy, what kind of pot are using.I'm using a Mackies ice crean tub.
  • Not sure who that's addressed to, but I got a cheap proper savings tin from one of those pound shops (conveniently directly below my flat!). It is painted to look like a giant £20 note and will need a can opener to get into.

    Hi All,

    you are all doing amazing!!!

I joined at the beginning of the year but came to a halt half way through and fell off the debt wagon...

But I am back and although will not be able to add to this years total I was hoping to regroup and join again for the new year (Well starting 2nd December!)

I am number 312. SUE-UU - would this be ok???

I have felt really motivated by you saying that we can do it how we want to do it and I was worried about joining again! But I really am going to get the ball rolling and I so want to clear loads of my debt this year but i have an additional 'savings' urge as well now.

My boyfriend even bought me a little terramundi pot to start again as I told him about this sealed pot challenge! :o

I would like to stay at member 312 and really give it another go.

    Well done everyone. x

Oh Lost, so sorry about your nephew :( so young :(

I have taken DS into town today as I was feeling a tad flush so took him to Costa Coffee for a double chocolate ice thingy that made my head hurt when I tried it, but he seemed mighty pleased :rotfl: Well He also bought his dad a £5 costa voucher to go with his chocolate orange after a bit of gentle persuasion from me and reassurances that it didnt matter if he spent a bit more on one of us and less on the other and his sister as long as he came under £15 for all three of us :) Quite proud of him as his dad's presents has cost him £6 and I know jakes dad will be over the moon when he opens them as he loves a cheeky coffee but we cant always justify the cost :o

I have also managed to sort out one of my nieces presents as superdrug had some really good deals going on their makeup, so now have £25.71 left to spend and 2 1/2 presents to go :D

If I come in under budget (as Im carrying the money round in cash ) I will pop anything left over in the new tin :j :j :j

Oh and DS is currently looking for mine and his sisters presents online as clintons didnt have what he wanted . . . im not to know what hes getting me so would I be kind enough not to look at the basket when I pay for it all . . . oh and can I tell him how to spell terramundi :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
