Hi SPARKY
Just a quick question when I count what is in my sealed pot do I add it to my amount I have already declared . Does that make sense still you know me so should be able to understand what I am on about :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry to hear the sad news lost, completely didn't read the posts when I posted before. Hope you're ok *hugs*Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I thought you wanted everyone to tote up on December 1 so you could find out the total amount we've all saved collectively. Is this correct?
I'm going to Australia next May so ideally I'd hold off opening mine until then to give me a bit of extra spending money. Otherwise if I have to open it this week I'll stick to the original plan of putting it in my savings account for my mortgage deposit.
Aha, I see turbo.jet, another member who hasn't read the opening post then!!!To answer the most relevant question right now, you can save until YOU wish to. Most folk save for Christmas, hence opening the pots on Dec 1st. However, for all those wishing to save for holidays, or any other important occasions - they save until they wish. All we ask is that when they stop saving they put their Total on their signatures which is then added to the Grand Total. See my sig.
I do hope everyone else is reading the FIRST POST on Page 1 to see all the details that they need!!!
A lovely tin turbo!
My answer to your question, nanto3girls is that I first used a Cadbur!s chocolate tum, then progressed to a Terramundi pot; followed by a blue & yellow cow and a couple of pigs. The latter all given as gifts. There's absolutely nothing wrong with your Ice Cream tub, it serves the purpose, that's what counts. You could always decorate it (or the grandchildren could!) or paint it or maybe use Christmas paper, anything goes. But I am back and although will not be able to add to this years total I was hoping to regroup and join again for the new year (Well starting 2nd December!)
I am number 312. SUE-UU - would this be ok???
I have felt really motivated by you saying that we can do it how we want to do it and I was worried about joining again!
My boyfriend even bought me a little terramundi pot to start again as I told him about this sealed pot challenge!
I would like to stay at member 312 and really give it another go.
Hoooray izzoh!!! :jIt's wonderful to see you back and ready to save again! Don't worry as it's perfectly ok, and doubtless you'll have read the 1st post! That way you'll know NOT to crack open Terramundi's, it's all on post ONE!!! We ALL stick to the same numbers, izzoh so no problem there either. Save and be proud!!
In case sparky's working, to answer your question LC 2 Either that or pop your complete Total on the post.
Feel free to bump anytime sparky!
BTW everyone; there will be a slight change in opening dates next year due to the 1st being on a Saturday. Please watch for exact dates on SPC 5 on Friday.

Actually I did read it... Twice. It doesn't explain whether you need people to tell you how much is in their pot on December 1 or not, and also says we should sing out with any questions.December 2005 TOTAL DEBT at its worst - [STRIKE]£20,596[/STRIKE]

In that case the management reserves the right to take out an indemnity against mistakes whenever it feels like it!
Anyway, on the new thread SPC 5 that's all sorted (or it will be in a minute) To be honest, a lot of folk come to the thread regularly and we ask that whatever money is used/banked would folk kindly pop it on their signatures, but I'll make sure it's clear next time.
Have a lovely holiday in May and please let us know when you're going and how much you've saved or alternatively you can pop it on your signature and let us know next year (end of Nov).

Oh gosh never explained why I posted total early, will not be spending any cash till next weekend as at long last got refund i was owed on CC so will be spending that, its a prepay one, so spending that does not put me in debt, so there will be no more change and most likely be hubby not me going to shops anyway so no chance of roadkills. Not putting the refund in pot sorry as I had to go and buy the item elsewhere and it cost me more, still awaiting a refund for faulty items sent back to prezzybox - post office says they were delivered and have a sig, but you cannot read it, and prezzybox saying I will have to wait till they find the package, already been onto TS and they told me I have to give them time to find it grrrrrr how much time is that already been 3 months, but every time I ask TS get told give it a bit longer and again had to go and buy item elsewhere. Not been my year another company took £9.99 and £14.99 payments off my CC after everything was paid for and items all received, have opened a transaction dispute with CC but being prepay it seems they take longer than normal ones, that company will not even reply to letters or emails and if you phone you are in a queue of 50 or more grrrrrr. All this is making me now very wary of using companies I have never used before as was a first time customer for each, and it will be last time.
Sorry rant over back to savingsNeed to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch
