  • Excellent thread and one we can all look back on in twelve months time!

    Achievements of 2006

    i) Became debt-free in July 2006, having previously thought this would never be possible. Am dead proud of my achievement!
ii) Managed to make the 12 monthly payments into my savings account, meaning I will get the bonus at the end of this month. This monthly payment would have previously been money that would've been frittered away on some useless c**p.
iii) Decided what I want to do with my life and made a career change.
iv) Completed the first term of my degree (with very good results) which is necessary for above career change.
    v) Lost more weight and am back into clothes that I've been unable to wear for the past three years!

The past year has certainly been a very positive one!

    Goals for 2007

    i) To remain debt-free and not fall back into my old ways.
ii) To complete the first year of my degree and get a good result.
iii) To continue the MSE way and make the most of all the money making opportunities (e.g, student 0% overdraft put in savings account, quidco etc)
iv) Get rid of my unwanted junk through local paper, ebay, boot fair etc. This might take all year as there is a lot of stuff!
    v) To lose another 7lbs.
    vi) To continue monthly savings

That should keep me going for a while. As I did with 2006, I will give myself until Christmas 2007 to achieve all of this.

Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to One and All!! _party_
