Achievements of 2006, goals for 2007

Hope this hasn't been done already?
I was thinking back today on all that I'd achieved DFW wise in 2006, and wondering what I should aim for in 2007. I thought it might be an interesting thing for other folks to do too. Perhaps top 3 for each - I'll start :)

Achievements I'm most proud of in 2006 :

1) Finding out how much we owe exactly!
2) Sorting out the cheapest deals on all bills/cards thanks to this website! :T
3) Sorting out getting my bank charges refunded.

Goals for 2007

1) Shave at least 12k off our current debt.
2) Not incur any bank charges whatsoever.
3) Stick to our monthly budget.

Anyone else fancy joining in?

Cheers!
Brassic

    2) Realised I hated this job too and subsequently changed that to a brilliantly paid job.
    3) Used extra money to buy brand new flat in nice area at a fairly good price.
    4) Decided to sort out my finances and use MSE to assist me with most financial decisions I have to make these days :money:

    Goals for 2007

    1) Get in to matched betting, cos it seems theres money to be made from it!
    2) Reclaim any unlawful charges my banks may have charged me over the years
    3) Sort out my life insurance/contents insurance policies etc cos i'm a bit lazy!
    4) Enjoying my life and not having to worry about spending this, or not spending that. Wise spending, with cashback, is definitely the way forward!

    oooh Brassic, good thread!

    Achievements in 2006

I had my light bulb moment- after years of running up debt and then paying it off with annual bonus. This year the bonus didn't cover it!
I began budgetting and kept a spending diary.
I paid off my student loan, loan to my Dad, sofa finance and my £1250overdraft.
All my debt (except mortgage) is now 0%.
I began overpaying my interest only mortgage.
Christmas is not being paid for on credit.

    Aims for 2007

Pay off last of debt with annual bonus (so that savings remain in ISA).
Actually have some bonus left over for a treat for me.
    Save £3,000
Sell flat and move in with lovely OH.
Sell heap of car and just use public transport.
    Become more environmentally friendly

that's it for now, there will also be the usual ones of eating less, exercising more, drinking less yadda yadda.
    Saving for an early retirement!
