Good news about the skirt mummy3. Trousers are great and easy but I find if I wear a skirt and especially heels, my posture is so much better. I just know I walk better. Trousers can easily encourage me to slop about. What's your maxi skirt like?

i mostly wear leggings with a top/mini dress thats long enough to cover my bum...or jeans with a shorter top mostly with sandels or ballet pump type shoes or boots in cold weather

    Good Morning All!

Phew, lots to catch up on!

First:bdaycake:Happy Birthday LL! Hope you have a lovely day!

Welcome to all the new joiners, sounds like we are off to a flying start!

Have managed to finally pull out of the "meh" rut since the weekend- have some tummy issues from all the soy-fake meat products and generally knackered after the weekend, but a few decent meals and some good sleep and I'm back to normal!

re the Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) this site may help those of you who are interested- http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com/
There is a really good thread on here about it too if you want to do a little search- I do it using castor oil and almond oil and it makes a noticable difference- little bit of a faff at first, but I used some small dispenser bottles and mixed up a quanity at a time - one of those small travel bottles lasts me ages. I do have some muslin cloths- bought some from the baby aisle and trimmed down, but tbh find I prefer using flannels for this. Well worth giving it a try.

The other thing I use a lot that I got from here is the apsrin face mask- I tend to have issues with blackheads (ick!) :o on my nose and this seems to really help- from memory is a little bit of milk of magnesia + 2-4 asprins disolved, 5-10 mins on face and rinse off.

For normal day to day cleansing I do also use Lush Angels on Bare Skin , but I've found as I'm doing the OCM I don't actually need to cleanse as often, I tend to cleanse well at night and then use a little almond or bio-oil (teensy tiny amount) as an overnight moisturiser in the morning I really only need to splash some water most of the time.

and I do try and do a face mask/clay mask once a fortnight at least- since I've started the whole frump to fab thing my skin has really improved- gone through stages where it's been patchy/oily but seems to have settled down well now and I barely need to wear any foundation during the day, just a little under the eyes and here and there to even things out.

I managed to get my butt onto the Ex Bike last night, did 25mins covered 6 miles and did interval training- as I find this works me harder in a shorter time so I do e.g. 5 mins warm up the 3 mins at an average speed/incline not too slow but not pushing all out then 1min pushing as hard as I can at an incline - sounds silly but really works for me repeat the cylcles for the duration- what I'm going to aim for is reducing the "rest" cycles slowly and then gradually increasing the length of time I can maitain going "full pelt" my own silly system but it's worked before.

Can safely do some cardio each day so will do some more tonight, but also try and do some strength work. And will then do the OCM tonight as the pampering for tonight.

am trying to get back into drinking plenty of water again, so will be filling my flask and sipping lemon and ginger tea today I think!

Right ladies am off to go and fill the flask and then tackle today's e-mail mountain:eek:

Hope you are all having lovely days!

haven't been remembering perfume but have done 30 mins excercise every day since mon ( zumba wii this morning).
    facial ecxercises every other day.
dog walked for 2hrs mon, tues and again later today.
rubber gloves on for washing up.

unfortunately healthy eating went out of window abit yesterday - we had a birthday in the house and so a pizza takeaway and cake was eaten. am going to try paul mckenna philosophy of chewing your food 20 times and concentrating on what you eat in the hope I want to eat less.

Hello ladies (any any lurking gents ;))

I found this thread courtesy of Tru and I'd love to join in if that's OK.
I am a mum of 2 young kids, also a childminder so wearing suits etc is no longer an issue (woo hoo!) but I have been close to getting lost in the domain of v necked t-shirts, jeans and trainers. OK I still wear jeans but I've tried to get slightly different tops so it's all a work in progress but it's making me feel slightly better.

My biggest bug bear.......being apple shaped. I find it hard to reconcile in my head what I "think" a woman should look like, curvy, womanly (hourglass or pears) whereas my reality is little definition between my bust, waist and hips :( Being slightly overweight doesn't help as it just emphasises the lack of definition as I classically store my excess weight round my middle. Any tips on accepting this shape gratefully received :o

Looking forward to joining you all on the road to being even more fabulous than we already are :D

<rushes off to squirt some perfume>

    PS Happy Birthday LL

Quickly popping in to say hello and Happy Birthday LL - I hope you are having a lovely day :)

Still around, still wearing perfume - graduated to brown mascara now from clear and a bit of benetint on the old lips. Also, not leaving my hair in a ponytail all the time, unless I'm working out! On level 2 of the 30 day shred and finding it much better than L1, I love plank jacks - does that make me weird?

I have been reading all your posts, just haven't had much to say :)

Happy birthday LL (sorry, can't do fancy cakes but the thought is there:))

Hi everyone, managing to read posts at night but been extremely busy with work, DS2s birthday weekend and last night discovered our guttering has sprung leaks in several places so waiting for someone to come fix it! However, I have been very good and have been putting cream on hands and feet as promised - can't believe the difference already! Perfume and make-up on everyday and I've upped the jewellery slightly and had a few very nice comments!

Just been grocery shopping and bought loads of fruit and veggies so that lunches for work are healthy and will hopefully save me some money taking my own but also stop the sneaky chocolate bar AND crisps that usually jump into my basket when I'm not looking.

Just booked our flights to visit my brother in Germany next month so keep all the good advice and tips coming!
    Take care all

    Happy birthday LL!

well I dyed my hair this morning and took off my chipped nail polish. Haven't got any new stuff put on as I didn't have the time before work but hopefully tomorrow.

I have started (today and yesterday) to do some situps in the morning to tone things up as well. No results as yet but it's very early days!

    Hiya Bitsy

Not much to report today. I've filed my feet, smothered them with cream and painted my toenails dark pink :D Also sprayed the perfume.

My hair is in a ponytail again - more wallpaper stripping.

I'm going to measure my waist and hips in a mo, I'll do this once a week and record the results in a spreadsheet. I do love my spreadsheets :D
