Nasty and personal attack? Not at all.
I'm not upset, merely bemused at why so many people are so worried about what others have done that they consider to be wrong.
Maybe my tone was uncalled for, but then so are the holier-than-thou posts.Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -

Spot the difference? I can't.
What do you mean you cant spot the differeance between theft and exploiting tescos. So you are quite happy for tescos to illegally overcharge you then??
Theft is when you take an item you are not entitalled to with out paying.
expoliation is buying the item legally then asking for your money back due to their terms and conditions saying you can because they have illegally overcharged you. Big differance!!!"Save the cheerleader - Save the world"0 -

Either you hope people get charged full price, or you wished you could have used the codes for longer?
Seems to me that having both scenarios would contradict each other.
Fleet Frantic my main concern was the amount of orders that some people placed. If everyone had just placed one order a day using a £5 voucher how long would it have taken cd wow to cotton, now that some people have overused this it will be closed off thus everyone will suffer from not getting a discount. So if CD wow started charging full price those who had abused the system the most would be charged the most, a fitting punishment, the more you take advantage the more your card gets charged. I can accept the fact that if CD wow charge me full price for my orders, it won't cost me a lot and I had it coming. you see my point?0 -
Now you have made it more clear, yes.
Nobody mentioned theft. As you put it 'theft is when you take something without paying'. Nobody did that - we used a voucher and paid the difference. Nobody took anything - it was up to cd-wow if they sent the items (or not).
As for Tesco's - if somebody goes into the store 'explicitly looking for a misprice' that is just as morally wrong as using a voucher that we shouldn't have done. There's a big difference between 'discovering you were overcharged' and 'going into store knowing you will be overcharged'
As lewt said, seems its one rule for some and a different one for the rest.
Still, I like being warm, so I'll enjoy it when I get sent to hell.Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -
Why is it morally ok to use the voucher just the once then pass it on for others to use compared to one person using it more than once ?
Lol, do I really want to get involved ?0 -
Lol. I give up - I got some items, the ones I didn't will be refunded.
Time to move on to the next great offer or voucher to be exploited......
......now, where's that Tesco thread? :rotfl:Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -

Just had another read through this thread, defintley got me smiling ! Pleased to hear FleetFanatic is getting a refund. One of my codes stopped working yesterday... so moved on to the next one that is working
)... It came up as processed, so will wait n see what happens! Its looked fantastic to start with £5 off, but with the vouchers going thru again n again n again n again. been great.... if can get a few more be even better , if not im not complaining....... Just hope the kids dont expect so many CD s and DVD s next xmas lol ( or maybe a voucher could still be working then .... ). As for all the debate on if its right or not, yeah its pushing it a "bit".... But cdwow issued the vouchers, they have the choice to accept or decline the orders. Just pleased voucher system is so generous! thanks cdwow, I think they are fantastic
