  • you all knew you were breaking the terms and conditions so you entered into the contract knowing that, now CD Wow turn around and say that they won't honour the agreement, you should all know why and have seen it coming, i hope that they do charge people the full price of all their orders, purely because a lot of people on this site are so greedy. If we had used these codes wisely then maybe it could have been exploited for longer.
  • I don't disagree with you - the terms and conditions were indeed broken. Therefore cd-wow can cancel outstanding orders. However, in doing so, they do have to refund monies paid.

For items already sent, they only have themselves to blame. It's their website that had the loopholes.

If you didn't keep your own pc update in regards to a firewall, anti-virus, etc & you got ripped off, wouldn't people suggest that you only had yourself to blame if somebody exploited it?

:rotfl: dont go near the Tesco threads then, they take dishonesty to a whole new level. this is minor to the wholesale theft that goes on there.

vouchers didnt work for me either.
Its not theft from tescos :p its their terms and conditions. They say it we charge you more than stated on the shelf you get a full refund on the product and can keep it.:D In this case if they have made a mistake and it gets exploted it their fault, they invite you to find a mistake the reward is the item free. Its also compensation to illegally being over charged.

Which certain people set out to systematically exploit.

    Spot the difference? I can't.

    Hmmmm.

Either you hope people get charged full price, or you wished you could have used the codes for longer?

Seems to me that having both scenarios would contradict each other.

Well i personally have given cd-wow about £20 of business they wouldnt have had otherwise and you will probably find that is the reason they are still allowing this to happen,

    mishka

It doesnt matter how much business you have now given them, if they make a loss on each order this is not justified just because you spent a little money with them.
I certainly dont think this is the reason they are letting it happen, they just havent cottened on yet.

  • Well cd-wow have emailed me:

    Hi,

I'm afraid we have had to cancel and refund your orders for the following reason.

As the voucher redemption on this order does not adhere to the 'Promotional, Discounts and Voucher redemption' section of our Terms and Conditions, your order has been cancelled. To view our Terms and Conditions, please follow the link below:

    http://www4.cd-wow.com/tac.php

To ensure any future orders are not cancelled, please ensure that you read and adhere to our Terms and Conditions.

    Best Regards

    Kerry

The bit in bold is all I needed to read.

  • Just for clarification I sent:

    OK I understand now.

So you have refunded every cancelled item?

    The reply:

    Hello

    Thank you for your e-mail.

We have processed a refund on every order that we cancelled and the money should be back with you shortly. You wont have got a refund e-mail because it was through our other payment provider but the money is on its way back to your account.

If you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards

  • Next you'll be telling us you emailed cd-wow to tip them off.

Why do so many people worry about what others are up to?

I bet you've used a supermarket code before that you weren't issued with?

That's just as much commiting fraud, so get off your moral high-horse.

That's a very nasty and uncalled for personal attack. I'm so very sorry you got upset because I told it like it is. Sadly, that puerile reaction was as anticipated. As I said previously this one thread shows some of the best and also the very worst of the people who come to MSE.
