I have one of these voucher codes that I haven't used yet (the only one I applied for). Will this still work ?
Many Thanks.
Yeah unused vouchers will work its only some lucky vouchers that can be re-used. Dont go thru Worldpay if you want to try and reuse tho0 -

I certainly dont think this is the reason they are letting it happen, they just havent cottened on yet.
What I originally meant but didnt word very well was,
It does matter how much business they 'gain', companies issue discount vouchers to entice customers who would previously shop elsewhere. Therefore hoping that once they see what a great service and product they receive they will remain loyal. DVDs and CDS cost pennies to produce so they can justify having so many discount vouchers floating around at one go in the hope that their sales increase. Its better for them to shift stock and make a little less profit than it is for it all to sit there at full price, of course people who are just ordering £5.99 items for the sake of it just so they can save a £5 probably arent their favorite customers!!
Many companies limit the use of vouchers on lower value items as they realise that after a discount the profit will not be worth having, i dont believe for a second that CD-WOW are that badly advised technically or so poorly equiped that the system doesnt recognise an increase in the use of discounts. After all the vouchers in question were issued in conjucture with another company as a promotion, how else would they gauge the effectiveness if they dont do a report on how many were used ?
someone on here picked up on my questioning of how legal this all was (not refunding or supplying a product) Just because they have been wronged doesnt entitled them to behave just as badly.

To add to what mustsportsbar has said, also make sure that your order costs more than £5.

Threads are monitored all the time and actioned upon if necessary. I'm sure this one wouldn't have run for so long if it was considered 'damaging' to Martin's career in any way !!!!
This thread is a little different to the usual Grabbits threads with respect. It's different due to:
a) the scale of the theft/fraud/deceit/deception (pick whichever word you like
)
b) the fact that some posters are openly celebrating the scale of their deceit.
c) the disgruntled reaction of the dishonest to any posts which make the points I've been trying to make - reactions I find both terribly sad and disappointing.
Your last argument is an interesting one - it appears to be that "it must be OK 'cos no-one's deleted it yet." Hmmn.0 -
The answer is you get a refund. :rotfl:Edna_Bucket wrote:and what happens if you get caught.
Btw, seems that if you use a new, different email and place an order, it goes through without a problem.
To add more email addresses to my blueyonder account or not?
Decisions, decisions.....Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -
I think that this thread has got quite !!!!!y now!!
Most of you who think that that are the most honest in the world, what the hell are you doing on this board??
This site is all about saving money and getting a bargain where you can and taking advantage of miss-priced items and so called bargains and discounts.
It is also about spreading the word to all people so they can also take advantage.
This voucher is like having free cash from a cash machine. If you put your card into the cash machine and it gives you £5.00 for nothing you are going to keep going back. That is only human nature.
Most of the people who are posting negative comments in my view are only jealous as they do not have a voucher to use.
I have given vouchers to a few people who have taken advantage of this and why shouldn’t they?
You have all of these big companies like Tesco, BP, Sky, and British Gas who make millions & millions. BP doesn’t think twice about ripping people of at petrol stations. British gas doesn’t mind keeping their prices high when they could bring them down. All I can say is thank goodness it has not been a cold winter as most of the pensioners in the UK would be having to pay really high bills or be freezing cold.
To take advantage of an error is not fraudulent. Fraudulence is meaning to steal something that does not belong to you and you know this!!!!
Like finding a credit card in the street and then tring to buy something with it.

I'm just astonished people have so much money to spend on CDs and DVDs - after all, this isn't for 'free' stuff, just discounted! I don't think my house could take the strain of all those CDs and DVDs!
I think/hope I've used a 'healthy' amount of codes - I've certainly used the odd £1 one - on very rare occasions I've had a £2 one - all emailed to me by CD WOW.0 -

As is the case with many threads on this site , its often not the opinion that causes disgruntled reactions but the fact that someone felt the need to point it out in the first place (not specifically talking about anyone, just generalising)
no-one needs to be shown the error of their ways or be made to justify what they are doing, if you find a thread that you disagree with why not just move along to the next one ?? Its like walking into a pub at closing time and being disgusted at all the drunks there, it happens, there is a fine line between acceptable use and abuse.
