Do not edit
Website says voucher expired now and will not be valid if you go in and edit an existing order0 -
Crowdity voucher VOU0837678 has now expired
The limited number of these vouchers we could redeem has now run out, as such the £20 off £40 Crowdity voucher is no longer valid for any new order placed or existing order edited. We apologise for any disappointment.
... so dont edit your basket.. and they should then still give the discount.. but no more new orders.. make sure u dont have the free choccys etc etc in the order as no doubt that will cancel it..... pure greed...
thats way i see it anyways.. my orders due at 10am *yawns* just had text etc to say nothing in missing.. so shall see what happens.

Just went to the Ocado website to use my Crowdity voucher code to see a message saying that the offer has ended! Not what I expected as the original offer said that as long as you registered for the code on 22 June, you could use up until 30 June.
Clearly a con by Crowdity to get people's email addresses but not deliver to the vast majority. Shall be unsubscribing from them immediately!0 -
I meant the people who placed multiple orders , plus dare I say it , some people took up this offer TO HELP THEM GET BY not to order 4 crates of wine... Thats what I meant , just feeling for my sister who is relying on this offer this week and my girls who didn't get to use it in time .. I wanted one to put in an order for nappies as not going to harp on about my GS needing them as he has special needs and is still in nappies at 4 years old and my other daughter is a newly wed but still struggling as well.....
Just gutted for them really and people like them who needed it to get by , its not fair
Maybe I need to teach them to be more greedy!!
Yes, I'm afraid that's me - apologize.
I'm one of the biggest critics of people who abuse grabbits. The sort who pick up on a glitch and then buy multiple items they don't even want to sell on ebay - spoiling it for eveyone else.
The reason I set up multiple orders sent to other family members was this. Ocado are a Public listed company, with plenty of cash after flotation on the Stock market last year. Doing a promotion like this is good for the Company accounts, even though it's a loss leader. Having new subcribers on their books enhances the value of the company, basically wipping out any loss they've made on the offer.
I really can't work out why this offer has been pulled, but as I said at the begining, my profuse apologize!0 -
Well, this is a bit of a mess isn't it! the greedy ones who ordered a lot, some in advance of the official start time, have ruined it for those who signed up in good faith and thought they had a week to order in.
The Voucher issued (for those who actually had it - not just the code) said it started FROM the 23rd and was valid To the 30th.
Ocado are now saying they all been used up, and it expired on the 23rd.
This is clearly unacceptable for those who haven't yet used their voucher - if the numbers have been 'used up' it's not been by their legit owners. Ocado need to be told this, and told that this is not acceptable practice.

Can someone help me again please? I tried my best in good faith to use this voucher, waited for the e-mail to come through and using it for a normal shop to save some money and help us get by - managed to get 8 dinners plus some extra's in the basket for £20.01 before delivery and as you've all noticed it's now saying the voucher has expired early.
It was all saved in my basket ready to order today, when I go to the checkout the voucher is still there, it will let me order it and says the amount to come off my card is £23 inc delivery - does anyone know if the order will just be cancelled or if, as the voucher was in my trolley and saved will it still be honored? I can't risk them charging the full amount.
Thanks in advance:oMummy to beautiful 5yr old girl and a gorgeous 1yr old boy:D0 -
I'm absolutely fuming about this. I applied for the voucher in good faith, and applied for just one voucher because I'm not a greedy sod, only to be told this morning that I could not use it because it has expired yesterday.
I had no chance to use the voucher or even start putting stuff in my online basket because when the voucher arrived yesterday morning I was at work and worked until late at night.
I will be complaining to Ocado using the address Zanderman has given above, but I think this time I feel disappointed by MSE as well because the only reason I registerded with Crowdity is to get this voucher and MSE still says that you can use it by Thursday 30th June.
Had I known this was a first-come-first-served offer I would not have registered with Crowdity because I don't like giving my details around; for £20 off it was worth it but now I feel I've been taken for a ride :mad:0 -
The people blaming "abuse" for this being cancelled are having a laugh. Ocado could have set a limit if they'd used a different daily deal site (like Groupon) - THEY chose to use Crowdity.
They could have also quite easily given individual codes so that only the X people registered through Crowdity got it - or gone through Groupon and set a maximum then issued that many individual codes.
People shouldn't order more than 1 etc etc, but IRRC there were 33,000+ when I signed up - even Tesco (the market leader by an absolute mile) wouldn't want to honor that many codes... surely it was clear to everyone that it would be limited issue and to redeem it ASAP!?!?
IF Ocado have issues with people getting the free things (which are made free for a reason - they get reimbursed for it somewhere along the line!) then they can void the codes for those people. It's not hard to run a database search for people using X voucher and Y voucher together - pull up a list and disqualify the lot. Or search for more than 1 voucher being used per household (as per their T&Cs) and throw in a search for mobile number, credit card etc, incase anyone has been used the same details
People that missed out are just trying to throw the blame onto someone else. Feel sorry for people that really needed it, but it's like the Orange free £5 yesterday - no abuse, just simply fastest finger first.was able to log in today before delivery and see what my subs where... and my delivery was tonight.
i also got a text this afternoon reminding me of my order, the name of my driver, the details of his van and the details of my subs0
