not very good for the image of ocado or crowdity though, is it?0

This is not necessarily true. I don't have loads of stuff in my garage, I don't even have a garage! I've used the code once. They may have stopped this because they have had enough people who have taken up this offer already.
I meant the people who placed multiple orders , plus dare I say it , some people took up this offer TO HELP THEM GET BY not to order 4 crates of wine... Thats what I meant , just feeling for my sister who is relying on this offer this week and my girls who didn't get to use it in time .. I wanted one to put in an order for nappies as not going to harp on about my GS needing them as he has special needs and is still in nappies at 4 years old and my other daughter is a newly wed but still struggling as well.....
Just gutted for them really and people like them who needed it to get by , its not fair
Maybe I need to teach them to be more greedy!!0 -
Still think if they've pulled it early it was coz people took the **** as they could have stopped the amount of codes issued on Crowdity , the counter doesn't HAVE to go up endlessly , they can arrange a cut off number with the deal makers
Mind you the code is EVERYWHERE now , so the Crowdity thing was ALMOST pointless! LOL
They KNEW there were well over 30,000 codes issued and didn't seem to have a problem with that..
If they WANTED to make it a limited offer all they would have had to do is arrange a cut off number with Crowdity eg 5,000 and they still could have issued personal codes then ( just about I reckon lol )0 -
Although this has no doubt happened because of MSE abuse of the offer in some way, shape or form... it is ultimately the fault of Crowdity for not controlling the offer sufficiently - surely they knew what would happen when the offer went live? I'm annoyed as I was within the first 1000 to register for the offer and have missed out because of greed and incompetence - no I wasn't relying on it for survival but I was entitled to it just as much as anyone else who was in the first 2000 (which is probably what it was meant to be restricted to...) and was looking forward to trying some of the lovely Waitrose vegetarian lines... oh well
I wonder when the photos of peoples' lofts rammed to the rafters with Ocado stuff will show up... maybe this board should be renamed the "Abuse it til it's pulled" board...0 -
If they've pulled the code do you think they will honour existing orders or cancel them all???
My sisters shopping is due tomorrow and she has no food in the house so is RELYING on this!!
I'll be GUTTED if she doesn't get it as like many people is relying on this offer to cut our food shopping bills this week as it really does help!
I think they will honour all sales - as it was not expired at the time.
Defo ended now though - its official. They have changed the expiry date:-

You are both wiser than me then. I can't see how this could be abused. I thought you could have only one delivery to an address.0

well then I am confused because I registered much earlier today as well. If they ran out wouldnt they cancel the newest ones?
Now the deal is 15£ off a 75+ shop. see ya ocado.0 -
Love your last comment downhillfast! lol
I was in the first 1,000 too and was already with Crowdity and a Facebook fan etc etc but thats not the point as I can't believe they've pulled it and am still hoping its a technical glitch???
As everyone with an e-mail from Crowdity with a code in it should be entitled to this offer surely? Whether its for wine or beans?!!
I think the code being LEAKED didn't help - But we knew that would happen at some point , no surprises there , so there were tons more than 30,000 people with access to the code
It didn't HELP that people took the **** with it , thats for sure but as far as POPULAR deals go ... This ones gotta be one of the top of the tops..
I'm STILL in shock though for some reason even though now I'm thinking how can they honour 30,000 x x x x however many codes as how many freebie sites is the code on now and how many people posted it on facebook / told their mates / mates told their mates and those are the ones NOT on Crowdity ... It needed to be more controlled in some way , thats why even though the numbers were HUGE I thought we'd get a unique code each for some reason
Please please please honour the orders already gone through Ocado!!!0 -

Crowdity doesnt work with a maximum, it works on a minimum.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Oh no has it ended? I registered with Crowdity and received my email today but not had a chance to use it yet as Ocado was having problems with my postcode so their team was going to sort it out so i could place an order tomorrow instead.
Can they just change the expiry date as PP posted? When i opened my email i took a screen shot of that page with the exact expiry date at that time of 30/06/11. So i didn't feel i was in any rush to use it asap... I think i will give Ocado a call in the morning to see what they say.
Also, were the codes personally sent not unique? Sorry i haven't read all of this thread.0
