Are you saying you don't want an invite?
I'll invite Mr_Pepperpot instead then.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
I think you should make it an open invite and see who turns up!

Ok, time to resurrect my confectionary thread. My mum won't tell me what she wants for Christmas, so I'm thinking treacle toffee, and something with crystallised ginger (which I've bought).
So, I need instructions for treacle toffee, and suggestions as to what to make with the ginger please?
I haven't entirely discounted the possibility of having another go at Turkish Delight, either. It's been 4 years, so I'm nearly recovered from the first effort. :rotfl:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Hi MBE,
I can personally recommend robowen's recipe for treacle toffee in this thread where you'll find plenty of other recipes too:
Treacle / Bonfire Toffee
This thread might give you some ideas for the ginger:
Crystallised Ginger- what to use it for?
And this one has recipes for turkish delight:
Turkish Delight
Good luck with your mum's gift.
