Why when i am in the U.k I never read that tosh was a post on here last week regarding the DM having a go at a woman who suppost to be a millionare or was a millionare and lost all her money now she lives in a shed claiming benefits! The fact is all papers seem to be having a go at the less unfortunate and the politicans....Haha! Do not even get me started on them, Cammity clegg and the lot of them are fiddling the tax payers of this country in expenses yet making the weak of the country suffer with there "Im alright jack" attuide to the country.
Sure the benefits need cleaning up in this country but the papers need better news because for the past two years its been about either Chavs claiming money or slagging off of people on benefits."MSE Money saving challenges..8/12/13 3,500 saved so far :j" p.s if i been helpfully please leave me a thank you but seek official advice at all times from a pro0 -
Lol you're nothing but a silly little troll indeed. Actually jealous of disabled people how pathetic. Try to find one of us that wouldn't happily give up any DLA if we could be rid of our disability too, I for one would jump at the chance (though the concept of colour vision kinda scares me)."Life is what you make of it, whoever got anywhere without some passion and ambition?0

Our motability car cost us 2550 down payment plus our monthly DLA - this is over 5 years not 3.
This is because we have to have a wheelchair adapted car for our profoundly disabled child.
Nothing flash - just a Zafira.
Families with disabled members are some of the poorest in society with far fewer options in career ,housing and leisure activities.
Sometimes I find it hard not to wish illness and disability onto some of the nasty judgemental contributers on these boards.
You really haven't got a clue what your taliking about!0 -
beller your post stinks of sour grapes im sure my husband would rather be in good health than have a "free" car as you put it, and as for paying tax people who claim dla can also work and pay tax.if you feel so bitter take it out on the people who pay your low wages! Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

Why?
I'm not jealous at all. I wouldn't want to be disabled.
All I'm saying is that being disabled with an income of over £418 a week is a little it rich when I have to work 32 hours to gross £190!!
The report is right. How many times do you see all and sundry using a 'disability car' as though it is the family means of transport.
How many cars are there on Motability that are paid for by say the father who is disabled, that are actually used by son, daughter and uncle Tom Cobley and all. I know of one that the son in law uses it to get to and from work, the car being parked up all day in the office car park, AND then he and the daughter + kids use it to go on holiday to France every year!
Then what about those that choose not to claim DLA, they still have to pay for a car out of savings or income. They are no less disabled than most others!
And as for high end cars on Motability. I have a friend who is the service manager at a Mercedes dealership. He tells me that over 40% of all C class vehicles that come in are on Motability!
What I want to know is, as insurance is part of the motability car package, who insures all the other drivers?
How do they insure themselves?
I qualify for a car, but because of the disability, I've only covered just 11.500 miles in just over six years. It would be madness to take the motability option.
At least nobody else can drive my mobility allowance.0 -
its not free having a disability holds a lot of people back in many situations and no the car is sole use is for my husband we have another vehicle for mine and my daughters use not that its any of your buisness. So they work and earn at least what I do AND they get a free car on top!!!
Do you allow anybody in your family to use your car for anything other than transporting the disabled person or running errands for him? Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0 -
Oh yes!! You tell my wife that.
I have no career - I am low skilled and will ALWAYS earn the minimum wage. Have done for years.
Housing! You try finding a 2 bed place to rent for less than £400 a month! We rent in the poorest area which is rife with crime, drugs etc.
Leisure!! What leisure? Don't drink, don't smoke, can't afford a car. We just about exist from week to week with enough money to buy food and nothing else.
Beller, you post on here with good written English skills , so strike me as a person who has a modicum of intellect (even if I don't agree with your opinions).
So, instead of saying "I am low skilled and will ALWAYS earn the minimum wage" why don't you use that ability, and improve your qualifications, to improve your skills, and hence improve your income prospects.
That would be a much more valuable use of your time, rather than !!!!!ing about what you perceive others have that you don't.I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.

So you say you wouldn't want to be disabled but previously have said "My disability is nothing to do with you"
Silly little troll, failed in life so now is just bitter and wants to blame the world for it.
Go get a disability then and see how it feels to be just taking the !!!! as you put it."Life is what you make of it, whoever got anywhere without some passion and ambition?0
