Then you have no conscience about what you are doing. Do you really NEED the money you are taking from other taxpayers?
Or is it that it comes in handy to make life a little more comfortable for you?
If people only asked for what is absolutely necessary then this country wouldn't be in the mess it is in with people abusing the benefit system and looking at it so as to provide a lifestyle choice.
I have never abused the benefit system, nor do I see it as a lifestyle choice - I had no choice, simple as that.
I'm very happy with the choices I have made though. I receive what I am entitled to receive and am very grateful for it.
Nothing to do with a lack of conscience, nor a lack of pride or self-respect.
We all make choices in life where possible - you made yours and your family suffered for it, sadly. I hope I'm never in a position where my family suffer because of my choices. It's bad enough they have to suffer due to choices someone else made that negatively impacted on my whole life

he is stupid but so are all of you for feeding the troll!
Andy "Beller" is doing what a troll does and hes pressing all your buttons, buy by answering him you are feeding his sick fantasy's of being this AE and if you ignored him this thread wouldnt be 7 pages or so long.
No sunnyone, not stupid, just going along for the ride.
It was established pretty early on that beller was stating things that were for dubious reasons.
He certainly hasn't pressed any of my buttons. I haven't been wound up by him. I have found some of his posts amusing and therefore continued to reply.
Everyone is free to make the choice of whether or not to enter a discussion, and that does not make them stupid, imo. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
Well try following links! It just doesn't work that way. And I've never heard of anybody being fined or prosecuted for not registering.

I agree with Sunnyone, 220 responses to a load of tosh in a racist comic and you end up constantly responding to a personality defect.
Not just stupid, but bringing a complete lack of credibility both to this forum and MSE.0 -
Obviously Beller you see yourself as a martyr. A martyr to the cause of indifference.
You are also making your wife an unwilling martyr, what will happen to her if you are arrested? How will she cope with the lower income if you are fined? Does she agree with the way you do things? Does she even have a choice? Do you even have a wife for that matter?
Sacrifice yourself by all means but to put your wife in this position is nothing short of ABUSE.0 -
-
I'm no martyr! The system failed us.
Yes my wife knows what is going on.
She will cope somehow - she's a born survivor.
She can walk away anytime she wants, but she chooses to stay.
She will cope somehow? Surely YOU ought to be making sure she doesn't HAVE to cope?
Maybe she is so dependant on you that neither of you realise it and she CAN'T walk away.
The system didn't fail you YOU failed you.
There are plenty of ex-cons and disabled people working, even disabled ex-cons working. That is the REAL bucking the system. Not sat there whinging.
And yes, some of them still get benefits of some kind, housing/council tax, disability, tax credits etc but I bet any money that they would rather not get them at all.
For 99.9% of people disability benefits are NOT a lifestyle choice, they are a LIFELINE.0 -
Of course she'll cope! She did when I went inside both times.
And how do you suggest that I make sure that she doesn't have to cope? Register to vote? Fill in the census form. Get real, do you not think that she doesn't agree with what I do?
The system did fail me. The vast majority in times of need, would be queueing at the local DHSS wanting to collect their weekly handouts. Just because we don't 'fit the boxes or officially exist' we get nowt!
Anyhow I have had the argument with them, and all they suggested was to maybe 'get' some sort of ID.
I am not complaining about my lot in life. As I have said I am happy with what we have. We have never had so much as we do now.
We have a permanent home for the fisr time in over 30 years, a regular job, and warm food and clothing.
What more does or could anybody want?
If you would read what my gripe is about, it's all about the abuse of the Motability scheme.
Well then aren't I the lucky one then. the 0.1% that doesn't see benefits as a lifeline, but a lifestyle choice.
I could claim more, that is my choice, it could and certainly would improve my lifestyle - wouldn't it?
All this benefit grabbing really sickens me. If I can do without, by choice, and avoid being seen as a 'scrounger', so could many others.
But hey, they are quite happy being thought of as benefit scroungers, as long as they get what they want.
What a selfish world we live in. Not one that I want to participate in.
If and when I can reduce my overheads further, I will willingly give up the 'handouts'. They come with too many strings attached and opinions.
I'm sure that all this rubbish would be more appropriate in Discussion Time rather than here
Perhaps a Board Guide could move it?0 -
Yes I agree. It has gone way off topic and is now serving no useful purpose.
And by the way for all those that seem to think that I am somebody to laugh at, it's me that has had the last laugh and realising how sad it must be to have to exist on benefits instead of trying to do some type of work even if you are disabled or sick.
You are the ones that Cameron is gunning for!!! Good luck!!
Yawn..............0 -
Everybody has a choice! Or was there someone making you claim every last penny you could screw out of the system?
There is a whole world of difference between what you are entitled to and what you actually need to survive.
I'll bet you are grateful with your lifestyle choices.
Life is what it is, things happen good or bad, they just happen.
So you chose to break the law. Earlier you were blaming your circumstances, but you made the decision to break the law.
Yes, I chose to legitimately claim benefits. I didn't choose the reasons why I needed to claim them. I have no regret about what I have claimed.
There certainly is a difference between what a person actually needs to survive on and what a person claims. One could argue that you are receiving more than you need as you have internet access.
Life is what it is and sometimes bad things happen. Dealing with those incidences legally will always come way out on top over dealing with those incidences in an illegal manner. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story.
