£5 scratchcard profit. Notice I am adidng the profit... It was a £5 scratchcard and I won £10 but I've only made £5. It's a bugbear of mine that people add all the money they win when actually some of that is just money back.
To be honest I feel dirty adding that fiver because I know I shouldn't be wasting money gambling but ho hum...
Have some matched bet money to add as soon as it is withdrawn (that's better because I'm profiting from offers rather than relying on a win) and some eBay sales, postage and fees to tot up before adding that also.
Need to list some eBay stuff tongith on a five day auction as it's last Sunday finish of the month coming up but I doubt I'll have time to do much. Trying to think of any big value stuff I have waiting to get on there..."He hopes and he wished it but it didn’t fall in his lap so he ain’t even here"0 -
Hey all, thanks for the comments. I'm sure the money won't clear, my bank account looks lovely and healthy for mid month but its not available balance. I'm not sure when they'll pick up on it, I'll keep you updatedI have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!

How do you manage this? I've posted about 10 DVDs and games in the past month and they've always come up at £1.09. The cost of the envelope adds another 20p to this...
I'd also definitely query it if you think you've been charged too much by the postie. I think that previously I'd always just trusted them but I'm posting a lot more stuff than I used to.
At the weekend I'm going to have to post a £10kg parcel  so I want to be doubly sure that they've got the right price. I've estimated about £15 if I use the "standard parcel" option, so I'll be interested to see if the person behind the counter agrees with me...
My standard DVDs and CDs go for 92p as well. Thats the price of a second class large letter at the standard weight on one of those. If its more than 250mm it will have to be a packet though and also for more weight so a small box set will be more expensive.
Have you used the online postage calculator from Royal Mail? This is it: http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/PriceFinder;jsessionid=4HNDWJKUWMESOFB2IGGUOSQ;jsessionid=4HNDWJKUWMESOFB2IGGUOSQ?catId=23500532&gear=pricingcalc
Also couriers are much cheaper for parcels over 2kg - we use this site at work and have never had any problems. I run web shops so have used it a lot:

They will most likely pick up on it eventually - but I think there is a period after which the money can become yours (something like 6 years). I know of somebody who was accidentally given double the amount of money when doing a CC balance transfer (an amount of several thousand pounds). He put the money aside in a high interest account and never touched it, just incase the company asked for it back - and they never did, so eventually he just kept it.£10 a day challange Feb 27/435 Jan 530/465

An update for the first time I've made my target, 3rd month of doing this so quite pleased with myself, £3 PC and £30 bank goodwill and £47.50 work.
Total £292.39. Going to potter on, see were I get to.
It's only now I'm thinking what can I do for Augusts money, cos all my ebay stuff is low value, but anything is better than nothing.
I count shopping savings cos this month I saved £14.92, I had a £8 voucher and bogofs, but I've only bought bread and eggs for the last 3 weeks, so really I've saved more, but the £14.92 is the receipted amount, so sticking with that. This challenge has made me question wether I've food shopped too much for 1 person, and I think I do,so going to cut down in the next few months.0 -
