    Hi

Onlyroz A DVD usually costs me 92p to post but you have got me thinking about this.

I think I'm ging to get the PO people to do all the measuring/slot stuff from now on because I have had some high charges which I've queried and some low ones which I didn't query but did worry about until I knew they'd arrived safely.
Perhaps they get into a habit of judging by eye or perhaps they're getting a bit of extra revenue for their employer!
Sorry if that last comment was off the mark but I am curious now as to how it all works.

Anyway I did post something today but will have to go and work out what I made after PPE (post, paypal and ebay).
ETA it was £1.83 so new total is £38.29.

Hope everybody is having a good day:)
August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.

54p salvaged from OH's pockets pre-laundry this morning :D . I know that's quite a small amount to get excited about however I would have to work for approximately 10 minutes after deductions to earn that amount!

I know it wasn't intended that way, but Jesus, thats a depressing thought :( 54p for 10 mins of work sounds so wrong, doesn't it!?
alas so true for many of us! :o although thinking along those lines certainly makes you stop and think before buying unnecessary carp....paper, choc bar , coffee ect!

Just checked my online banking. £50 cheque has been credited in at £500. Waiting merrily for that to clear but i BET they notice it :(

Pretty sure even if it clears it isn't your money and they can reclaim it at any time. Just a word of warning not to go spending it or even paying off debts with it i fyou could end up getting caught short. You might be best (get away with) sticking it in an easy-access savings account but even then they'll still come for it and posisbly not pay the interest..

I'm sure there's a cautionary article somewhere on MSE but can't find it for the life of me.

How do you manage this? I've posted about 10 DVDs and games in the past month and they've always come up at £1.09. The cost of the envelope adds another 20p to this...

I'd also definitely query it if you think you've been charged too much by the postie. I think that previously I'd always just trusted them but I'm posting a lot more stuff than I used to.

At the weekend I'm going to have to post a £10kg parcel  so I want to be doubly sure that they've got the right price. I've estimated about £15 if I use the "standard parcel" option, so I'll be interested to see if the person behind the counter agrees with me...

I am having a rubbish month this month - I lost a client whom I would typically invoice for around £200 a month as he has gone for really cheap labour:(

    Still, I am a woman with a plan:D

Not sure of you guys n gals have heard about this site that lists competitions and even tells you (if you are registered) which comps are ending today. https://www.loquax.co.uk - it might be worth a look as you might win something valuable that you could keep for flog on ebay.

Another £30 for me today taking my total to £66.10/155.00. After an initial good start I began to flounder. I hope this starts me off again. Must put stuff on ebay, but I only seem to have rubbish left now.
