I must admit am a bit disappointed that none of my colleagues have acknowledged the fact that I have left:o after 10 years of working there you would think that they would at least send a card. Re affirms my reasons for leaving ie they are a bunch of t w u n t s but it still saddens me to think they havent bothered:(
NPM when I took medical retirement from the Civil Service (OMG it's over a decade ago!!) I'd been on sick leave for 2 years, and I never had so much as a "Get Well" card from anyone. You know, you're better off out of it! (((HUG)))
All those mentioning the 'C' word - stop it!! That word should be banned til at least Sept. Bah humbug!! :P
Ab-so-lute-ly!! In fact ban it til at least December 1st!:rotfl:

Moorhen so sorry for your loss (((HUG)))
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Thanks LW .....it is very rude tho isnt it, makes you feel like you were not worth anything there:o

I left the civlil service after 4 years, got a bunch of flowers presented to me,the week before a temp had left and was presented with a cheque for over £100........I left the flowers on my desk, their need was greater than mine.

    Hiya everyone

Lol @ esmf & Deleted_User my Dad has done that quite a few times when he does online shopping
Redruby was down your neck of the woods on Saturday, those pics on my FB of the aniv party were at Bognor
JackieO how lovely to have a local shop who can do that for you, I agree the big chains would just sell you something new, and guess where you will go when you DO actually need something new
Bitsy I promise you it will end, all the waking and bed hopping, when they are teenagers you will be hovering outside their bedrooms to try and wake them! I do have a lot of sympathy though as both mine were in and out of our bed and both woke at 5 and that was it, day started!
Taplady Rhyl is our nearest seaside, I hated it the first time we went as we went in March and I expected it to be like Eastbourne or Brighton and it was closed! But went again last year and had a lovely day there, hope the weather will be kind to you

Evening all!! need to read page too, but see lots of C references and tospy - good luck with your interview!

So today was okay, I have had a terrible ache in my side since yesterday, it's round my back too, so to rule out kidney/liver (probably self inflicted if this is the case) issue i am going to the docs tomorrow - also need to ask them about my reynaulds, as when my hands get cold they are now become very difficult to use and fingers don't move so well anymore - i could handle the numbness but not not being able to move!

I think we are getting a lodger...OH's bro has been bailed till Sept and asked if he can stay with us, which i think would be a good thing for him as we're away from troublesome ex's who've cause most of the aggro. We will get £80 a week for this too which will be a great help towards savings/bills anything really. So the spare room i've been putting off every weekend REALLY needs to be sorted this weekend, it's going throught the court so not sure how long till we find out if he can live here but will need to get prepped none the less.

Dinner was pizza, spent £40 in asda on what feels like NOTHING! it's all for OH's lunches, but he seems happy with what i've brought back.

    Have a lovely evening all!

thanks Dazi - weather looks promising on internet forcast:)

congratulations on your 8th anni

Bramble - you have my sympathy with your Reynauds - I'd be interested to hear what the doc says. Mine is getting worse every year. Like you I have numbness and find it hard to use them, sometimes it is very sore when they are thawing out. Doesn't even have to be very cold for it to flare up. The fridge aisle in the supermarket does it every time.:( making it hard to pack my shopping and impossible sometimes to use the chip and pin machine.

Tappers, if it is possible, could you do the freezer aisle first? Or maybe draw cash to pay for your shopping? Or have you thought about on-line shopping at all?
