Afternoon everyone
A nice bright day here today, managed to get 1 load of washing dry. Spent most of the day doing another application form only another 3 to go. I have got an interview for a lunchtime assistant job at a local school next Tuesday.
os today not alot, dw emptied and reloaded. washing pegged out, dog walked and just got to make tea beefburgers and hm chips, as ds2 has a friend from school for tea tonight.
I have also organised my step dads 70th birthday present, got him gift vouchers for the hotel that my daughter works at so if he books through her he will get staff rate and manage probably a 3 night stay with one night having a meal in the restaurant, from my 2 db & I. He is the man that has everything and doesn't really need anything so thought this would make him and my mum get away for a few days.

afternoon all
just had a odd encounter in morrisons. i ran out of peas and need some for dinner tonight. sat ds in the pushchair and we walked down. half way around he kept saying he was hungry. picked him up a bag of carrot sticks, the sort that are for lunch boxes iykwim? we paid for the shopping etc then i gave them to ds and some woman prob not much older than me, started tutting and sighing that he was eating carrots :undecided she then had the cheek to actually say that he shouldnt be eating them at his age, he's too little! he's 2yrs and 3months?? has a mouthful of teeth and has been eating carrots like this since he was a baby!! i just walked off completely puzzled :rotfl:
anyway not a lot os going on here today. hubby brought some chinese style pork that he wants with rice. had a general tidy up but feeling very tired today and cba to do much more. was at the nursery for two hours today and really enjoyed it.
ds went to bed perfectly last nighthe got up just after i put him down, saying he needed 'weewee on potty' so i let him and he did :j any ideas about how to get him dry in the night??
moorhen - sorry to hear about your aunt

Evening all
Moorhen - sorry about your aunt x
Csarina - nice to see you posting, new place sounds lovely
All those mentioning the 'C' word - stop it!! That word should be banned til at least Sept. Bah humbug!! :P
Busy day at work, not quite sure what I did though :rotfl:. Almost all sorted for my new team of work kids which starts next week although I have a nagging feeling I've forgotten something. Next 2 days are going to be hectic, got all day staff meeting tomorrow and on Thurs we have a special event and I'm going to get to meet Prince Charles ( I work for one of his charities), which sounds interesting/exciting but in reality it's a nightmare to organise cos I'm taking 12 former work kids (the good ones!!) along too!
Had letter today from health board saying I'm on waiting list for ENT referral and should be seen within 3 months.
OS wise - made packed lunch this morning, need to tidy, maybe hoover, think I'll make veggie spag bol for tea and freeze LO's. Also need to sort some paperwork, and finances as it's payday today.
Have a good evening all

Meant to say that home-made hummus is lovely xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
